We’ll look back and this time and wonder how we had any of them in the championship let alone all 3 at once
Beautiful day here today ... ... not a breath of wind, blue skies and bright sunshine. Meanwhile my clothes are drying out from yesterday
I just had a feeling on 84 minutes when they took the Korean AM off and brought on the centre half. They were happy with what they had and didn’t show any ambition to win it. 2 minutes later…
Stoke weren't as 'grubby' as some other teams we've played at the SOL ... ... but their staff were crowding round the fourth official, the players round the ref and taking ages with goal kicks and throw-ins. I loved how Patterson was blatantly wasting time at the end. F*ck them
Way that's a breeze man. Ya should of seen it down in Wales. I was swerving trees on the way home from work yesterday morning
Over the moon with the win and we were very good value for it. It looked like it could be one of those days again as the chances came and went but a little fortunate flick we'd more than earned got the win. Over the moon for Tommy, imagine how he feels waking up this morning a match winner for his boyhood club. Credit to Stoke, they came to play and were dangerous on the counter, they'll catch teams out away from home this season. Special mention to Dan Neil who was class as well. Wilson needs an open goal to fall his way, a few great chances passed up yesterday and its almost like hes anxious to score.
Without looking. Rank these 3 chances in which you think the xG would be highest. 1 being the most likely goal from shots in that position. Mayenda: Isidor: Watson:
Fair enough but can you not see how ****ing silly some of the stuff he is coming out with is? The Watson criticism was embarrassing tbh and to say Patterson is a stone overweight is mind blowing tbh. I'll keep calling him out if keeps spouting his negative nonsense. The guys a weapon
Isidor will have the highest xG because of the lack of defenders, it'll probably be around 0.35. The others will be similar, around 0.20.
You’re spot on. to me though isidors is by far the hardest chance there. Isidor was around 0.42 xG I think I can’t remember now and the other two around 0.2. Mayenda had an open goal from inside the 6 yard box
XG baffles me to some extent, from those stills you cant really judge how far the ball has travelled or at what speed its going before the expected goalscorer makes contact, suffice to say they all may look easy afterwards , but I am equally sure they are no such thing . For what its worth and a bit off the subject I think the offside rule should be scraped or at least simplified.
That’s how I’d expect. Mayenda a free header in the 6 yard box. Watson a chance 8 yards from goal moving at a relatively tame pace and then Isidor a volley from around 10 yards after a decent whipped pass from alese but xG says isidor 0.43 Watson 0.23 Mayenda 0.18 What?!
