As I may have mentioned before, I’m not into hating etc but that remark was totally out of order and maybe he knows the outcome of the inevitable debrief with the Board etc. I don’t know but as someone who’s not really able to go to away matches, I’d like to say THANK YOU for all the effort, inconvenience and cost on today of all days, to cheer the team on. I’m really sorry that none of that seemed to be appreciated by RM. NOT ACCEPTABLE.
He still owes me 1 x Vauxhall engine and a curry for 4 after Blackburn away earlier in the year. #neverforgiveneverforget
I consider myself to be the most fortunate Saints fan alive right now, as the broadband is out in the whole village, plus not even a bar of 3G, so my only updates on the match came from 5 Live. I am posting this from the Kings Arms in Stratton on the Fosse while waiting for the Electric Roosters to start their set. Life is good
Just trying to see through the anger and rationalise. what does he expect us to do when we get continuously caught in our literal box playing out? Clap like seals at the intent?
Just got home. Not read anything yet. Utterly atrocious today. One of the most uninspiring performances I've ever seen and arguably our worst 90 minute one of the season. The lack of movement from the midfield and forward players was ridiculously bad and the lack of urgency in the second half depressing. No doubt Russell started talking bollocks about how only lost by one goal against a very good side yada yada but make no mistake that should have been our second hammering of the week. I'm struggling to recall a shot even off target? Let alone making the keeper work. I'm actually struggling to pick out a player who played well. Probably Wood was our best player? So many others were below par. Manning's worst performance in ages Archer's worst for the club Dibling far too slow to release the ball and tried doing too much Fernandes uncharacteristically sloppy Downes looked half arsed/fit Armstrong was... Well Armstrong. How he didn't connect with that shot in stoppage time I'll never know. Really poor atmosphere too inside the ground I thought including the home fans. **** knows why I stuck it out to the end. Could have missed traffic and been home much earlier. Oh well, onto the next I guess. UTFS.
Lee Hendrie was the co commentator on my stream today and was the latest ex pro to say how impressed he is with us. Maybe they do just look at different things to the average fan, is a recurring theme. Although apparently Tim Sherwood was slating us on soccer special according to my old man. Said it says it all when teams always rest players against us as we offer zero threat to any PL team.
There was actually about 40-50 people who sung "Russell Martin's red army" today. Can only imagine these are the sort of people who would enjoy ****ting themselves in public. Baffling. I boo'd them
