Hopefully Selles can make an instant impact in the next four games as two wins and a draw are needed to get out of the bottom three for the half-way mark. We now need to average a win and a draw every three games to stay up. Hopefully he gets the backing he needs in January as it’s clear we’ll never do that with these strikers.
I think LR will be to busy trying to avoid the sack to be looking at us and laughing, I also think he's a decent enough guy to really not want to see us as a club in this position
To be fair, we're not shipping any more goals than we did last season, and that's without Greaves in the side. But look at what we're missing at the sharp end - put any one of Philogene, Delap or Carvalho in this team and we certainly wouldn't be propping up the table.
I've said it for weeks, a decent player ( or 2 ) who could finish 1 or 2 of the chances we always carve out per game and we'd be at the other end of the table. The ones we have at that end of the pitch are just of a very very poor standard
Players also look low on confidence after having to endure the German fraud and his non existent interpersonal skills. We just need a win or a draw to give them a lift.
