We need Shola in the team too, we need a physical presence v Norwich - Ben Arfa doesn't give us that.

    Krul
    Simpson Perch Colo Raylor/Santon
    Obertan Tiote/Guthrie Cabaye Jonas
    Best Ba

I prefer our direct 442 approach or hoofball or whatever you want to call it. Having Benny in our team makes us play proper football but
    i) when there's no Tiote in midfield to win the ball back
ii) you don't have wingers who can get into the box and turn into strikers
iii) you don't have a really good ball possesion

there's no chance 4411 or 451 will work ... just look at the difference Shola made when he came on ...

Yes but he could easily cause their defense problems. More so than the last 3 teams.

    Shola if he starts?

If not then Jonas? He is our most experienced player left.

    1. Colo is ok for the next game
    2. Tiote is back
    3. We have Williamson back

I suspect you're going to be rather disappointed. 0 out of 3 is a pretty bad ratio!

Because we are going have a very weak defensive line up I reckon we should just go out with all guns blazing and just hope to score more than we concede.

i think you need an emergency loan at CB. If your resorting to playing Santon, an attacking wingback at CB, alongside Perch, who the less said about the better, then you're in trouble. Why not ask the FA if you could perhaps loan someone? I'm sure we'll let you borrow young Ignasi Miquel, a very talented prospect, who's 100X better than Perch.

That's a very good point. Surely we qualify for an emergency loan?! Another option would be Nedum Onuoha.

No chance they will tell us to get on with it.

imo having to start James Perch constitutes an emergency.

Anyway, this is what I would do:

    Krul

    Simpson
    Perch
    Santon
    Raylor

    Obertan
    Guthrie (Tiote if fit)
    Cabaye
    Jonas

    Ba
    Shola (C)

Nobody has mentioned Tavernier yet. Kadar obviously isn't seen as good enough and Tavs has had some rave reviews for his recent performances on loan in League 1. Obviously it's a big step up but if there was a recall clause in his contract I would seriously consider using it, even if it was just for him to sit on the bench for 2/3 weeks.

Basically, whatever we do, it's either gonna be square pegs in round holes or blooding youth players prematurely. Not sure which method scares me the most tbh.

I'd put Tiote in goal. They just wouldn't dare score...
