Well this is the last one of the year! Teams will be scraping the parts together and fighting tooth and nail for the constructors championship.
Cheers. As it's the last one of the season and things will be a bit quiet, I thought I would say Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year to everyone.
Ched, you have been a stalwart with the threads. Really is appreciated, never think it isn't. Thank you!
Yep . Gone with my heart . I have a VERY vivid imagination ,, but even I can’t see.a Williams winning . Next year they will win both titles
I only rarely vote, but as a supporter of Sainz, he has my vote, which I have cast. From what I have understood, Hamilton has the same late breaking problem that seems to have been Danny's demise. I don't know if the Ferrari is a better package for the late braker or if Hamilton is again going to suffer. Hamilton appearing to suffer from depression from time to time and seems to have some obsessive traits (e.g. didn't like people answering a call of nature on his plane) we will just have to wait and see if he struggles and his mood with it. Personally, I think Ferrari should have kept Sainz.
The frustrating thing for me is how far Sainz has fallen down the grid, given he didn’t lose his drive for performance reasons. With luck Williams makes a good step forward next year, although I suspect the focus is really on building towards 2026.
Just looking at the times I had a thought! Remember when the 7% rule actually eliminated some from the race? Well 7% of Q1 time of 83 seconds (1min 23sec) is about 5.8 seconds! The top 15 are within 0.5 second! That's massively impressive how tight the whole field is now.
Charles starting last….. His Q2 lap deleted for track limits so only 14th before his 10 place grid penalty…
Weird how the pace swung around again between sessions, but the McLarens had the speed when it mattered. Super lap from Nico to put a Haas right up front, will be interesting to see to what extent he can hold on tomorrow.
Time for Mercedes to give Lewis a new everything for tomorrow and start from the pit lane. His final ever hammer time for Merc
