I can honestly say I’ve never wanted us to lose, it’s just not in me DNA. If RM can prove my instinct wrong for him to go elsewhere and we win, do much better than that’s ok with me. But right now the ball is literally in his court for me to get more positive about him. A win would be a just outcome for all those Saints fans at Villa Park!!

Be very surprised with anything other than a comfortable Villa win. But stranger things have happened in football.

Thought he wouldn't play today. He struggles with 90 minutes so starting 2 games in a week definitely seems beyond him.

Lesley not even on the bench. We need a complete overhaul of whoever is in charge of our transfers. Wasted both loan slots, and majority of our signings have either proven to not be good enough, or don’t fit with the style the manager plays. Up for debate what’s ****ed us more, awful signings or keeping hold of an awful manager. Both = the total embarrassment we are seeing and possibly new worst points total in history.

Aribo didn't deserve to be dropped in my opinion. But whatever team we put out, I can only see a comfortable win for Villa. We have gifted goals to the opposition in almost every game so far. With Christmas coming up, I'm sure Russ will be keen to provide even more gifts

Yeah I don’t ‘want’ us to lose, I’d love it if we turned a corner and made a season of it. But I can’t see it with this joker in charge. Would like to see a win today but don’t want SR to become even more misguided.

 

Technically they are full season loans. We can only cancel if all parties agree, which will only likely happen if the parent club can find another club that are interested and the player is happy to go there. Assume both Ugochukwu and Cornet would be happy to leave as they don’t get game time here.

 

I don’t actively want us to lose, but rather just assume we are going to lose most of the time and want to get the games done as quickly as possible to where supporting Saints can be something other than a torture technique.
