Have we ever had that new manager bounce? Hoping for that tomorrow. Never in all my time have I seen it at city.
Maybe. I would need to check his first few results. I have this feeling we win tomorrow though, players dig in and play normal football and win.
We need something. With this bunch of players you never know who has thrown his dummy out this week and wants to blame a coach is it Dawson’s turn for the ****e produced on the pitch. It’s being a difficult week the uncertainty has effected my ability to show some fight on the pitch. it’s been so hard.
according to a site called sportwitness, we're not content with the 20 goalkeepers we already have and we're looking to buy another from man utd. https://sportwitness.co.uk/hull-city-championship-manchester-united-transfer-surprise/
26yo, so too old to sign without registering under our 25 squad players, and that's full currently. We will presumably be de-registering Millar and Belloumi, given they're likely out for the season, plus one for Zambrano, so that's 3 spaces, and I doubt we'll want to fill one with another goalie unless one of the current 3 are shipping out. Any news on what happens with Zambrano's loan anyway? Is he still technically with us? Do we have an option to send the loanees back in Jan if we wish?
Was at all 3 matches. ( away, fogged off match and rearranged one) Pelted with sharpened coins from top of the Ewood end stand, tried to move into side stand but coppers shoved us back in! Ambushed in car park by a load of ‘grebos’ who put most of the coach’s windows in whilst all passengers were laid in centre aisle to avoid the brick missiles. Coach driver got us out of the melee and whilst stopped at traffic lights on the road out of town, another group continued the assault on the coach. The driver lost his patience, opened the coach door and grabbed one of the offenders by his collar and gave him more than a bunch of fives then returned to his seat in what seemed like seconds to accelerate away! We endured an arctic journey home but otherwise none the worse for wear! Fond memories!! At the fogged off match at BP we were 2-0 up at half time and the rearranged game was a disappointing 0-0 result which was only equalled by the 1-0 home loss at home v Oxford which encapsulated the disappointment in not getting promoted after the euphoria of the win at Bramhall Lane.
Baz keeps mentioning the squad being full as if it's an issue, but it's only full because there's no reason to leave spaces. There are people on there who we could exclude from January if we need space.
Terry Neil came as player/manager at the start of the 1970-71 season ? We were in the 2nd division After the first 14 league games our results were: W 9 D 3 L 2. Last 14 of the previous season were: W 5 D 7 L 2. Not a Big Bang, but a Small Bounce of 8 pts and 8 places higher in the final table over the full seasons' results. Had those 3 draws been wins at the start of 1970-71 we could have pipped The Blunts for an auto promotion place. Dream on they muttered.
Hmmmmh. Storm Darragh looking as if it could kick this fixture into the long grass. Winds touching more than 60mph expected along the east coast at 3pm. Got a feeling the cops might be inclined to call this off at around 1pm....I, for one, hope this isn't the case. Re; The Blackburn game abandoned at half time, with City leading 2-0..It is true that the fog lifted about 10 mins after the announcement was made?
Lost too many home games that season....Nothing changes! From memory lost 5 at home...to Birmingham 0-1, Luton 0-2, Portsmouth 0-1, Oxford 0-1 Can't remember the other one.
New Manager watching on, or not, we’ll smash this two bob Burnley suburb village team to kingdom ****ed. Yorkshire>Lancashite. Always & all ways, City 3-0 Inbreds
Good memory recall there. I remember the coins and lumps of lead bouncing off the roof of that tin stand at Ewood Park. And the disappointment of that Oxford result, didn't it follow the victory at Bramall Lane? Ron Atkinson and his brother playing for Oxford?
