Cardiff City play host to Watford on Saturday afternoon looking for the win that could move the club away from the relegation zone.

At a time when the Bluebirds sit in 20th position in the Championship table, Watford are in sixth as they continue to churn out results under Tom Cleverley.

The uncertainty at Cardiff has continued into a third month, with Omer Riza remaining in interim charge after overseeing 12 matches.
A return of four wins, four draws and four defeats is perhaps better than many anticipated, and that eventually led to the powers-that-be acting on Thursday by handing Riza a contract until the end of the season. However, Cardiff are winless in their past five matches.
Riza has overseen a marked improvement during his 12 games at the helm, picking up 16 points and implementing a more attacking style of play. However, Cardiff are winless in their past five matches.

    As for Watford.
Eight points have been collected from a quartet of fixtures against Oxford United, Plymouth Argyle, Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers.
Nevertheless, Watford remain with one of the worst away records in the division, collecting just seven points from nine games and conceding 20 goals.

“We’ve had three clean sheets in our last four games, but not looked as free-flowing in attack as we were.
“It’s a really fine balance trying to get that sweet spot that we all strive for.

I hope it has calmed down by 3;00pm.

Expect up to 90mph gusts from 03:00-11:00 GMT on Saturday in western and southern coastal regions of Wales and the Bristol Channel in England.

I thought we were having extreme weather up here overnight - so warm that duvets were discarded. Until I got up this morning that is - I discovered that I hadn't turned the central heating off before going to bed. Probably a mistake I will regret when the next power bill arrives.

Sorry guys. The local Safety Advisory Group said to call off. Saves most of you making the journey apart from those who have arranged a weekend's stay and entertainment in Cardiff. Enjoy.

I sort of don't get why it just wasn't moved to Sunday instead.

Reorganisation of road closures, policing, first aid etc. Train times different for those travelling by rail whether local or for away fans.

Stadium marshalls having other commitments on Sunday.

And who knows what chaos the weather will cause tomorrow which would carry on into Sunday?

I guess you have seasonal hurricanes etc to deal with in Mexico. A tad more serious.

Flew into Miami once in the middle of Hurricane Irene. That was fun. :emoticon-0107-sweat:emoticon-0132-envy::emoticon-0119-puke:
