Just to be clear I have no issue with any of these but the issue is changing a tradition because HR said so and are frightened of not including one or offending someone !
I was making a joke about Santa in a dept store potentially being selected to current recruitment trends .
I wasn’t asking about the ‘joke’ I was curious about what the issue was you mentioned when you said “the issue is changing a tradition because HR said so and are frightened of not including one or offending someone”
Al rawdahs response is a bit ambiguous but I assumed he didn’t like my joke ? Maybe he was agreeing , sometimes on here you get very cryptic responses that are not simple English fir a dunce like me to comprehend .
When my kids were young I loved the magic of Xmas, just not the same with grumpy teenagers. Any tips to get the magic back? We are thinking about doing some volunteering work with the homeless or something on Xmas day to give us a purpose. OLMs posts has given me some hope the magic will return when we hopefully get grand kids in 15 years….
I have young g'kids and even younger gt g'kids - they make Xmas magic cos they believe, you have that to look forward to and the return of 'the magic'.
As my kids are now 33 and 28, I’d completely forgotten how exciting Christmas is for kids, a grandchild brings it all back. It’s great. Good luck to you if you do some volunteering.
