What a ****er. I genuinely have gone from thinking he was a nice bloke (you know my feelings about his football) to despising him.
THB is actually repeating what most of us have been saying, "It's not (insane to play out from the back), there's just times to do it." Yes, Taylor, exactly. We know that, so why does our defence play out from the back every time?
This is why I have said stick with him, they must know something we don't. They obviously have him here for the long-term and have factored relegation into their thinking. I don't get it, no idea what's going on, but that's not for me to figure out. I would say we have been getting a bit better, Chelsea with a depleted team and captain fantastic getting sent off can surely be written off!? By and large everyone says no matter who comes in, we would still go down as the squads not good enough, well may as well keep playing Russ all, after all the club hired him to play this way, so they must understand the long term needs, giving him a new contract etc! It is bloody hard to watch though!!
Also, if the players are so hot on Russ' playing style, then I expect them all to stay with us when we get relegated. Right?
He's comparing himself with Guardiola now. That was by the opposition fans meant as a joke! You're going it off your own fans Russell.
Journalist are so bloody kiss arse nowadays. Get me in there. Would ask how he feels after 14 games having 1 point less than the worse team at the same stage, in Derby County. And is that ok as you would have done it your way? Also how does he feel about conceding 9 goals in 14 games from mistakes made whilst trying to play out from the back in what is really a suicidal method with a newly promoted team, concidering the previous worse was Brentford,of 10 goals conceded through 38 games? And would you say that your stubbornness will probably result in Southampton being relegated without so much as a whimper, and eventually losing your job even though you have been given a very generous amount of time to change and adapt.
