Martin on Chelsea’s second goal: “It is what it is. The detail is not quite right at that point. We had a lot of good moments with the ball as well. But I’m as annoyed about the set-piece goal as that one.” #saintsfc [amazon] Time to go Russ. That's an unforgivable comment.
I yo-yo because I know it isn’t the best quality of squad by a long way, but nearly all of the goals we concede come from errors occurring from the style of play he enforces. We would still be struggling anyway, but I feel I have seen enough sparks in the side to say we would have more points on the board without him, maybe enough to still be in with a shout of survival.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink - “I’m not one for changing manager and they are so close, they went toe to toe with Chelsea and played well until the sending off. The players are still playing for him and they are very close” Sounds like he’s a Martin fan
What on earth is there to be proud about in a 5-1 defeat that shoukd been more? Is he actually just trolling us now?
Asked about the fans reaction, said ultimately all fans care about is winning but trying to build something then said that bit about everyone he bumps into is supportive
We didn't play well until the sending off. We played well until we gave them a cheap goal for 2-1 and then heads noticeably dropped.
Literally, ever since that day at Wembley, my love for this club has just been getting chipped away. From ****ty ownership, a clown of a manger, and just all round **** decisions everywhere. I'm done with it. I really just don't care anymore. And that's what pisses me off the most. I just don't care. Martin in or Martin out. Who gives a ****. We're down. We'll still have the clowns running the show. What's the point in it all?
Been obvious since the first few weeks in the championship that he’s not a PL capable manager. He doesn’t know how to set up a midfield or defence to compete in big games. It was ok in champ as we were a big fish in a small pond and got promoted based on his good man management skills. But at the top level you need a top manager, not just being a nice bloke.
Basically all the pundits say the same thing - we do somethings well but always shoot ourselves in the foot at some point in the game. If we can cut that out we’d be a good side and it always “feels” like that should be something we should be able to cut out, a third of the way through the season and still making the same mistakes suggests it’s not as easy as they make it out or we just aren’t trying to change at all. When it works we do look good, but you can’t expect keepers and centre backs to go 90 mins in a football match without making some passing mistakes the way we try and play. Even the top players make mistakes, they usually don’t get as punished because teams fear them more so sit off them. We make mistakes and the opposition is already pressing high so it almost always leads to a simple chance
Welcome to how I’ve felt since 2014 or whenever the summer when everyone left was. Its nicer on this side of apathy
My name is Tim. I have supported MY club from, with a season ticket to walk amongst OUR season ticket amongst terrible violent witnesses that as a small child (1982) has experience dealt with this. This, Loyal to my team of uncaring mercaneraries with a manager and current owners have left me now, at the age of myself of 50 years old, can no longer enjoy you or share a football club.
