Ridiculousness aside for a moment, what are thoughts on Cucurella's corner tactics of running at the keeper, giving a little shove and running away again? It appeared to go a long way towards their first goal and had Lumley rooted on the line for the next. Is it acceptable play and do we need to physically block it?
It's just indefensible how Martin wants us to play. How can anyone (let alone a supposed group of football experts) watch that 1st half and think, yep, that's for us ... Martin can **** off. Agreed not sure how anyone can argue that pulling someone's hair is not a red. It's like spitting in someone's face. If I remember correctly poor old Nigel Adkins got sacked after a 2-2 draw with Chelsea. Who knows how this game will end but I don't mind a bit of history repeating
Stephens has to be bombed out. He has been an utter disgrace this season. Sold, loaned to whoever will take him. Whatever. But he has been an embarrassment as a captain and we can’t afford the situation where his captaincy means a perception that he must be picked. I’m not sure I even want him for how he might contribute in the championship next season. That’s not long term planning at all At the absolute minimum he has to be stripped of the captaincy but that won’t happen as long as he is here (hence the first paragraph). It pretty much never does
