Nae stalls selling crafts, just ****ey expensive food, nae atmosphere and the “German” sausage hut with Polish manning it. They don’t even sell the best sausage “schinkenwurst” (ham sausage) which is miles better than a bratwurst imo.
I couldn't get my head round that either but I think they are incredibly smaller...His 2XL's are a bit tighter than they've ever been on me!!! Tubby Lard Arse,Glasgow.
It's the pit to pit chest measurement of the garment, so double it if you want the full circumference.
Funnily enough, things have changed over the past year or so, we used to always sell out of the 3XL's and 4XL's early on, but now it's the M's we're running out of, and 4XL's we're getting stuck with.
What do you think or know the dynamics for that are? Just interested because although different, I’ll be opening my new business in February
Initially, I thought we were maybe just selling more to younger customers, but I'm hearing other brands are seeing the same shift in sales, so maybe people are just getting a bit fitter (or just wearing them tighter).
That was my thoughts, there’s been a massive shift towards becoming more healthy and the amount of online fitness coaches now is phenomenal. People don’t have to be “embarrassed” by going to the gym, they can just do everything from home.
Maybe all the fat people died from heart disease and stuff. Now their younger, fitter kids are spending the inheritance on retro clothing.
Apparently, around 20% of people in the UK say they're fitter now than they were pre-COVID, as they've carried on with the exercise they started during lockdown. I'm one of them.
An increasing division between society. At the same time as the highest obesity levels, there are 70 year olds doing Ironmans. Because of online knowledge and positive social media, better available nutrition, exercise communities and good quality gyms, anyone can train like a professional athlete, and many do.
Yeh, and I would hazard a guess that those more inclined to take care of themselves through nutrition and exercise etc are equally more inclined to buy themselves some fancy new garments too.
