Good Morning. It's Tuesday 3rd December, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

    Do Leeds need reinforcements

With less than a month until the Winter transfer window opens, Whites supporters have been throwing names around social media like confetti at a wedding.

James McAtee, James Brooks, Ben Brereton Díaz, Kelvin Phillips, Sergio Reguilon, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Ben Chilwell, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Miguel Almiron, Joe Gomez, Maxwel Cornet and Emi Buendia provide a tantalising range of players believed to be available for loan, come the New Year, many of whom are on the wish lists of expectant fans.

Unlike the rest of the Championship, the Whites seem reluctant to take advantage of the loan system. Joe Rothwell and Manor Solomon are currently the only players Leeds have bought in on a temporary basis, but after recent loses at Millwall and Blackburn, things could be about to change!

Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke has suggested that the 49ers could provide Daniel Farke with a sufficient war chest to provide the 'shot in the arm' that is needed to boost Leeds automatic promotion hopes.

Failing to strengthen last January severely damaged Leeds plans for a top two finish, especially when both Southampton and Ipswich took full advantage. Traditionally, Leeds are not a club who learn by their mistakes, but surely we will see 2 or 3 incoming players!

Away form is cause for concern

The Whites (along with Sheffield Utd), top the Championship form guide for games won at home. In their last six matches at Elland Road, Leeds have picked up maximum points, scoring fifteen times, and incredibly only conceding once!

Away from home, it's a very different story. Three draws, two defeats and an unconvincing win (at Swansea) have seen Daniel Farke's side accumulate just six from a possible eighteen points on the road, placing them 11th in the form guide!

Leeds currently have 35 points on the board, the very same that they had at this very point last season, and finished their campaign six points short of second place. It remains to be seen whether 89 points would be enough for automatic promotion this season, it was in 21/22, 19/20 and 18/19.

Maybe the G-man should be given more of a run out, he at least would bulk up that midfield....... he's quite a formidable frame on him, and chambers and crew could be getting some more minutes or they might end up with bum sores like joffy <whistle>

I know people will disagree with me, but I don't think Gnonto is having much of an impact. He works hard, and gets involved but doesn't make much of a difference. Rarely see him beat a player.

Just my opinion, I'd love to see McAtee and Brooks signed

I like Gnonto. But he's not been as obviously productive as say DJ this year. Different type of player obviosuly and I think Farke prefers to use James against sides that play a high line, he can exploit off the shoulder with his pace - and Gnonto when he's looking to break down stubborn defences.

Willy looked like a good finisher when he first came to the club, but he seems to pick the keeper out a lot. I've never seen him as a showy step-over type who beats a man. He has that low centre of gravity, acceleration of a few yards and good touch that makes him really good, in my view, in tight situations - i feel like he's regularly involved in our better moments but would it would be fair comment to say he's not 'delivered' end product to the degree we'd hope.

    Afternoon all

I’m hoping we go up with our own players and not too many loans. Get promoted with three loan players and it’s three you’ve got to immediately replace.

Sign young players like Ben White, and if they perform you’ve little chance of signing them. Older players like Rothwell, they’re available as they’re not good enough for the PL

What position do we need to strengthen and who are we dropping

If we had a 32 year old Pablo then we'd be much better.

Just watching Ipswich v Palace, kept an eye on Leif Davis, do we have poor coaching staff?, is the U21 coach not up to it, reason I am asking is who would you prefer at LB, Davis or Firpo, a pub side manager will give you the answer with Davis, why has that happened. Cresswell is also ripping it up in France, and is looking more solid than Rodon…. why is that also?
Do we have a set piece coach, our free kicks are poor and corners are a joke, I think we need to look at our structure at LS11

Firpo mate, Leif was awful when we played Ipswich, he has no positional sense, he gets ripped to shreds when it comes to defending, I don’t rate him. In the Championship it’s easy to believe he’s decent with his assists but in the PL he’s done nothing

Our away form is a concern. I think Piroe and Aaronson are liabilities away from home.
