If you’re ill , you can walk into the surgery and immediately see the doctor - who invariably is one of your neighbours. If it’s hospital. you get a private room even if you’ve just broken a toe and are unemployed and poor - the nurse , another neighbour, and always on shift when a character is there, has more knowledge of your condition than your consultant. Multiple visitors can come anytime day or night , but if your attacker wants to finish you off , they will know your room and know when there will be no one about. When you leave the soap , your entire life’s possessions and clothes will fit into one hold-all. All soaps same, the above gleamed with barely seeing them
Fanny cradock and Keith ? Floyd were great cooks and a laugh, we used to laugh at 'seaside spiecial' from Blackpool etc in the 1980's but that was better than the crap on nowadays. repeats of the Les dawson show, Mike yarwood, Freddie Star, Q6 Spike milligan would be most welcome
I watch live sport and mostly american drama / series but thats it for traditional TV. Watch a lot of youtube though.

The player may have the most profound beliefs, as do I, but he’s at work where there are rules and regulations. There’s no need to have this on the work clothes provided by your employer. It seems more like attention seeking to me, having beliefs doesn’t mean you have to display them at every opportunity … … unless it’s a dig at the Saudis who tried to sign him of course. In which case, gerrin son
This country and our institutions are in danger of consuming themselves trying to keep everyone happy https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/59...ocial&utm_campaign=twitterfc&source=twitteruk
It's a canny point the last poster makes about the armband, as surely that isn't part of his work uniform Smug
I'd think it is mate, it's the captains armband which the club provides ... ... if he can write on that why not his shirt or his socks.
TBH I have just read the article in full as I wrongly just assumed it was just a band given to all the players. I just hate the fact all this stuff get's dragged into football. They say he made a religious statement with his writing which it is on reflection, but the article also states some Muslim player made his statement by not wearing one. We spend more time talking about who's wearing a rainbow band, who's wearing a poppy, who is doing this and that than the football. Maybe I am just getting old and grumpy after a bad week
Me too, I have no idea why they are doing this, but it is unpopular and distracts/detracts from the actual sport.
So this Greg Wallace character is the main feature on Newsnight now. As usual with the BBC it seems his behaviour has been ignored, more like covered up, for years. I've always refused to pay for a licence because I see the corporation as corrupt. And I keep getting threatening letters, from them, that I'm committing a criminal offence I can't wait for their 'Officer' to knock on my door ... ... he won't know what's hit him.
