It’s 100% to meet the registration rules for the champions league. Which is funny because he looked ok against Bayern
Lewis is dog turd, just runs manically around but produces **** all and more often than not just gets in the way. Nunez is no better. Gundogan, Silva and De Bruyne are on their last legs but the one that nobody dares to call out is Walker. He was rank today, the vast majority of his passes, after he’s surged up the field, go backwards and when he does try to do something offensively completely lacks quality. His defending is becoming more and more suspect as well, he was at fault for both of Spains goals in the Euro final. Massive overhaul required by Citeh.
Yeah, I was saying to my old man when we were watching it that Man City need a clear-out and rebuild next summer. Walker especially wasn’t good enough for them last season. Don’t know why they brought back Gündoğan. As good as they have been, they should think about moving on Walker, Gündoğan, Silva and probably even De Bruyne next summer. Or keep De Bruyne for continuity but get rid of the others. That squad needs fresh blood as the old guard have achieved everything possible and are now just complacent. Man City right now, especially their midfield, reminds me of Liverpool a few seasons ago when they still had Henderson, Fabinho, Milner etc. They need a massive overhaul.
His decision to convert Gravenberch from a box-to-box/offensive midfielder to a number 6 is a stroke of genius. It’s a subtle change but it’s really made a difference considering they struggled to sign one in the summer and the only other option was an ageing Endo. Gravenberch was looking like a dud signing for Liverpool but Slot has reinvented him and he’s been one of the best players in the league so far this season. Şahin has done something similar with Nmecha at Dortmund. They initially signed him as a replacement for Bellingham but he was really inconsistent and looked like a flop but Şahin has played him as a number 6 whilst Can and Groß were injured and he’s been class.
The only pleasure I can take from the bin dippers walking the league ,thus far, is to point out to their vermin fans that it proves Klopp was overrated. One title in nine years and Slott strolls in and, using the same players, makes it look easy. I’ve already got one plastic dipper at work severely wound up over it. For the record, I think Arsenal will make it interesting if they can keep Odegard fit. Citeh are shot.
Liverpool signed two players in the summer Chiesa whos career ended really after euro 2020 and a keeper whose gone back on loan Klopp was well over rated probably Possibly Havent seen any of their games
Is it due to the charges against them that they haven’t spent this season? Walkers lost at least five yards of pace in less than a year I’ve said it many times about spurs and hoddle The ones copying were just frauds Sam ways springs to mind **** as **** Harry winks is another one Look the part but do **** all Even Foden is a bit like that for citeh But Rico Lewis ffs No The only chance city had was to get some crosses in the box for Haaland but no poor **** never got any service too busy looking good doing nothing
If Lewis and Nunez both start Citeh will struggle like **** to win another game. It’s like playing with 8 men.
Now you mention it, Lewis does remind me of Winks. Sideways pass merchant. The kid has played this incredibly niche role in a Guardiola team since he was 17-years-old and now doesn’t know how to play any way else. I actually think he’d struggle in a Championship team.
He does well for England too though, sometimes you need players who do simple things exceptionally well. He is incredibly press resistant so is a useful tool when deployed anywhere deeper
Lot of plastic scousers in my local - I've used this line already, it certainly puts them off their beer!
