Anyone heard the new 2024 version of Do They Know it's Christmas? It's god awful, sounds like it was remixed by a teenager in their bedroom.
Just to say, my initial post was tongue in cheek … … I don’t hate any of this, just that my Christmas is more special if the Day doesn't arrive after a month long build up. We're all different, people with kids around have more pressure than the likes of me. Crack on and I'll catch up in a few weeks
I haven’t heard it. Although I have read that the wokerati are out in force about the original one now, saying it’s tone deaf and all very much white saviour stuff. Utter ****e imo but what do I know!!
My post was same. I rarely post serious stuff. Kids make Christmas but also cause the most stress. Not even December yet man. I am far more worried about Sunderlands results at the minute.
Love Greg Lake's "I believe in Father Christmas" and Jona Louie "Stop the cavalry", but for a real bit of nostalgia you can't beat Nat King Cole singing "The Christmas Song". One of my late dad's favourites and it still takes me back to being a little kid when I hear it.
Going back to this thread, I was reminded that there were the odd really good Christmas tunes. This is probably one of if not THE best imo.
