Gary Coatsworth was one of those players that made me believe that I could make it one day, oh and Junior Lewis too.

I have not been as frustrated at a match for a long time as I was in the 1st half. We made no effort to attack at all.
Why is everyone trying to play the same way? Leave Vardy on the half way line at all times. Don't worry about coming back, leave that for the midfielders. It would stop their defenders from moving forward and joining in with the attack.
Leave 1 if not 2 players on the halfway line when defending corners. This means they would have to leave 3 players back, which will free up the box.
On 1 Chelsea corner, they had 3 players on the edge of our box and EVERY OTHER player was inside it!!!!

I thought to myself during the 1st half that it was plain to see the players had absolutely no idea what they was supposed to be doing and was this going to be the last straw for Cooper, which turned out to be true.

I would like RVN in the hot seat, but would be very happy with either Moyes or Potter.

You never got feeling the players really had a clue what they were supposed to be doing, that there wasn't actually a plan.

Reportedly, we're not talking to Potter or Moyes.

You never really know how it's going to go when a new manager arrives (ask Gary - Ranieri...really?!<laugh>) but I do feel more excited by RVN than others mentioned.

I think he could galvanise the squad, which does still contain some decent talent and he's got time to assess things before the January window. He might also hold more appeal to potential signings.

On this day 9 years ago, Vardy scored that beauty against Man U. It's 11, it's heaven for Jamie Vardy. Breaking Ruud Van Nistelrooy's record, who today, will become his boss <laugh> Screenshot_20241128_091633_Facebook.jpg

Well, that was much worse than I was expecting. And the bar was low.
I can only assume that Ben was drunk or hungover when he selected that team.
I thought a few might actually try to impress their new boss. Evidently not.

Coady is not the answer to defensive frailty - and Souttar has now played too many games for a January recall <doh>

Okoli may also now be out injured and he has been by far the best of our central defenders ...

Personally I think we should try and ship out Coady, Vestergaard and Faes In January ...

Huge problem at the moment, there is now a complete disconnect between the players and the fans and to be honest you can't blame cooper. there is definetly a lingering sense of entitlement which quite frankly is ****ing up the legacy..
Van Nistelrooy has a huge job. Convince the ****ers that a 17th place finish is probably way more than we deserve...

That was so depressing and a new low. A bright spot is that West Ham were pounded (I was going to put hammered :emoticon-0101-sadsm) as well so there is hope later this week.

I admire your optimism. The issue there though, West Ham will be turning up with a point to prove after that battering. Which they are capable of, they got a good result up at Newcastle last week. We should be doing the same on Tuesday, but I'm not sure we're capable of doing it. And there's not enough time for Ruud to implement much in the 2 days he'll have them.
(Assuming he's not invoked the 14 day cooling off period with his contact and got on the first flight back to Amsterdam. Frankly, I wouldn't blame him).

Although, you're not as optimistic as Fosse thinking anyone will pay us for Coady, Vestergaard or Faes <laugh>

It was indeed a poor team selection with uninspiring substitutions. Giving Luke Thomas his first start of the season against the league's best home side was naive and harsh on Kristiansen. The last thing we needed was another humiliating defeat.

Is it that Wilf is playing too far forward at the moment? Whenever I see the opposition break out he's the wrong side of the ball and trotting back like he's on a Sunday morning jog. When Soumare looks to be running harder than you then it's time for the alarm bells to ring. If we wanted creativity we had a far more creative player sat on the bench. Wilf is predominantly a defensive midfield player. He might have looked okay in a more forward role in the Championship, but he looks out of his depth there now. Keep him more goal side and let him get back to doing what he does best, or give Hamza a chance.

As for Wout Faes, he is incapable of learning from his mistakes. In no man's land at the back with no idea what is going on around him. Stevie Wonder could do a better job. If we have such a thing as a defensive coach we should get rid of them both.

Thank goodness we have Mads Hermansen. But for how much longer?

Coady no - couple of million to the Championship... but Faes and Vestergaard would still attract interest from Europe ...

Okoli has potential and if he's fit I'd seriously consider pairing him with Wilf for the time being ... JJ is taking a lot of flak but is still young and has potential with the right players around him ... as he had when he first broke through ...

Things really are depressing at the moment, and we’re not even in the bottom three. The feeling around everything just feels flat, as if the players are already resigned to relegation. Hopefully Van Nistelrooy can give them the lift they need but the appointment in itself has left me very underwhelmed.
Watching the other teams in and around us, the likes of Ipswich, Wolves, Southampton they play like their livelihoods depend on it, which they should, I don’t see this from us, it’s either players who don’t seem to care, or who are immobile and can’t give the team any energy.
If we go down I don’t see Van Nistelrooy staying, even if he’s not sacked he’ll leave which will leave us back at square one.
Hopefully some of our loaned out players, Cannon, Nelson, Souttar, Braybrooke among done other emerging players like Alves will gel next season and form the nucleus of a new look Leicester as I can’t see us staying up.

I was being a bit facetious as I'm still @%£@#@ off from yesterday. Wages could be a potential issue with Faes and Vestergaard, though.

From what I've seen so far, I do like Okoli. And, I think some of the stick JJ has received has been a bit unfair. Ditto Kristianson.

I'm clinging to the hope that Ruud can install a defensive structure, even with who we've got. Jonny Evans has said he was obsessed with it at Man U.
At the minute they don't seem to know what job they should be doing or who is covering who. I feel we need to implement something simple to start with, a bit like the league win, where Huth and Simpson just primarily did defending. I know that might be a bit simplistic but we do need to get back to doing some basics better.

I took myself off to Reading yesterday to watch Harborough Town in the FA Cup. I can honestly say that every Harborough player left everything out on the pitch.
It was a fantastic day out and it was a pleasure to be among the 3,000 travelling fans, despite the end result.

I got home feeling quite emotional, but then realised I'm off down the King Power tomorrow, so back to reality and all that!!!!!!!!!!
