I don't think Chambers knew anything about it. Classic case ball hitting hand when arms we're across his chest - no way did he intend to use his hand.

 

Unfortunate for Chambers. He seems to be one of those players often in the wrong place at the wrong time.

 

He’s an experienced player who should know if he flaps his hands & doesn't have them by his side in those situations he can’t be surprised if a penalty is given.

It’s so unfortunate as we would have been good value for a win.

I know Frank has only been here 2 days, but he must have known you were going to target the little fella, we just don't have anyone else fit at the moment.
It was a 'proper' penalty, right in front of us and Chambers put his arm out to stop the cross. it was on the ref's blindside, but unusually, the lino was right up with play and saw it.
I think we are looking at 2 sides who will be lucky to avoid getting dragged into the scrap to survive.
