If WBA win against Preston we'll be out of the top six again. It's almost as if our players don't want to be in the promotion hunt.
Teams at the foot of the table are getting a hit desperate already, and lift their efforts, if not their ability.
We seem to have a lot of players who do well as a sub but when they start not good . Baah Festy Larouci I don’t if it’s the tactics or they aren’t ready ? Didn’t help Sissoko and Kayembe were poor. Bayo was hopeless too .
The answer is very simple We need a ten year younger Sissoko, not his fault but the years are catching up with him We need striker who can bully defenders and score goals We need a central defender who doesn't pick up a booking every week BUT to achieve that we need a GOOD recruitment team and a board willing to invest in the right players, so nothing to worry about then
All very sensible, with hindsight. The trick is to achieve these things without knowing that they might not be achieved . A crystal ball anyone ?
Every club and the fans want someone who will score on a regular basis; The stats here show that the one who puts more chances away than the rest is Conway from Boro, but even he fails 65% of the time. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/championship/top-scorers
