    Match Preview;
    Watford will be looking to end the month well, having won three, lost one and drawn one so far in November. They currently sit 5th, on 29 points, but 4 points behind 4th placed Sunderland. Since returning to the Championship after promotion in 2019, relegation in 2020, promotion in 2021 and relegation in 2022, Watford have finished 11th then 15th, so they'll be looking to reverse that trend this season, and seem to be doing a good job of that so far. Their manager is Tom Cleverley, the 35 year old former Man Utd youngster, who took over on an interim basis before being given the job permanently after around six weeks. So far, he has managed 29 games, won 13, drawn 7 and lost 9, so a decent enough start.

    As for us, I mentioned in the Cardiff match thread that the Celar we were watching seemed a different person to the YouTube Celar we'd been led to get excited about...then he scored two and made me look a bit silly. Couldn't be happier to be wrong. More of the same and we'll be out of this mess asap. That said, until we scored it was a frustrating watch and we often offered very few options going forward...but we managed to score two, didn't concede and got the three points, but I can't help but feel against a better, more clinical opposition, we wouldn't have been so lucky. Improvements, but still got lots of work to do, and I'd still love to see two up front to at least have a go and putting the opposition under sustained pressure, as opposed to absorbing pressure and hitting on the break.

    Enjoy if you are making the trip, and having lived in Watford for four years...a recommendation...pre game they'll be a few pubs in the town centre or near the ground for a drink...but post game, to warm yourselves up after standing out in the cold on the last day of November, take a short detour away from Watford Junction Station, and head to The Nascot Arms (https://www.thenascotarms.co.uk/). Nice little pub and a really good and very affordable Thai food menu. Will warm you up in no time.

    Team news and manager comments to go up asap, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

    Just a little teaser to perk up interest.

    I can remember the game in December '66 when we were clear at the top of Division 3 and Watford were one of the teams in the chasing pack. They must have felt job half done going in at 0-0 at half time. Then Alec Stock mixed it up a bit, bypassed Rodney and we scored 3 times in the first six minutes of the second half. That was before anyone came up with the 'concept' of 'Plan B'. Why did two wingers and a centre forward become unfashionable because it sure worked then?

    Please direct your question to Sir Alf Ramsey, via an ouija board .

    He managed to win a World Cup without wingers a few months earlier. Obviously the news hadn’t filtered down to Div 3. Or Yorkshire.

    I know. A fluke never to be repeated helped by home advantage -well not yet anyway. Wingless wonders never really caught on.at Loftus Road during our rise up the leagues with the likes of Mick Ferguson and Dave Thomas.

    I didn't even know where Yorkshire was at the time. My horizons stretched to Shepherds Bush market, Godolphin Road, Miles Coverdale school and the Sunday morning visit to the Church in Ladbroke Grove. My journey through England started off in Shepherds Bush (Hammersmith Hospital) then Ealing (considered dead posh in my community) before trekking South to Brentford and Kingston before I came to Yorkshire for work in 2009. The locals won't let me leave and I've been trapped up here ever since mixing with Leeds fans except when I go up to work when it's all Newcastle and Sunderland with a pretty clean split in two along the banks of the Tyne.

    Fond memories of visiting vicarage road last season! At least this season I will be in the away end! My expectation is even lower than last season, think we got lucky against Cardiff, Watford will be a different proposition. Shame we have so many injuries

    I read the previous government allowed the central reservations to crumble to the point various parts of the motorway system can’t be allowed to be 70.

    It’ll be worth it when our glorious knights lead us to victory.
