Not sure how Stewart worked hard had good hold up and scored goals. He couldn’t create a goal for himself and even though he scored a lot his finishing was never clean. Loved the man Isidor can create his own opportunities, has a bigger goal catalogue, better finishing he’s not as good at holding the ball up but works just as hard Clarke was one dimensional but very very good at it. You couldn’t stop him. Mundle is faster, more skillful, can go either way and is unpredictable. He’s not the better player now but has the higher ceiling. Exact reason spurs got rid of Clarke and tried to keep Mundle
Class clearance, he's been really good this season Him and Rodon are the best partnership in the league imo
I think our centre half pairing and Burnley’s pairing is better but can see that opinion is that ball not going wide anyway?
Fair enough, add in Sheff Utds combo and its between those 4 for the best I really like the Leeds 2 as they both have a bit of everything
Re: Clarke. Already a bench warmer at a club destined for the championship. Don't get me wrong, I loved the bloke as much as the next man, but being realistic, he's never going to more than a top end championship player, the skunk cup tie demonstrated that. Stewart? Busted flush, best bit of business SAFC have done in years, by any criteria Isidor is 'better' than him at this time.
They were all ****e that day, especially Jobe who was a passenger and should’ve been dragged off before half time. Clarke is a top player and was great at SAFC. Much better than Mundle too. Mad the stick he gets now like
Hoping Leeds win today, they'll def finish above us and I'd rather we kept a good gap between us and teams like Blackburn
Burnley been very good recently. Thought they were poor earlier in the season and individual quality was getting them results but they look good now. Another 3 points today at Stoke.
I don't mind that set of results. 5 points ahead of 7th, 3 points outside automatic places. If we can end our poor run of form we can be right back amongst it. Just want to be in contention by January which gives Speakman/Harvey the chance to put us right in the mix.
Whilst I totally agree with this post, I genuinely can’t understand why some on here are so desperate to say we’re outside of the mix as things stand. Precisely what has anyone seen from Burnley, Leeds or Sheffield United to say they’re so far ahead of us? It can’t possibly be their performances. Seems like it’s mostly just built on the assumption that they’re stronger because of the parachute payments. While that may end up being true, on the pitch we're more than able to compete with them on the evidence of this season thus far - and in particular our games against them.
There’s no reason we can’t challenge for top two. The three above us are not light years away having played all 3. They’re dropping points if we put a run together specifically in the run in, either of those slip up it’s do able boro behind us are good aswell but think they concede too many goals
100%. We are in a bit of a rut, results wise, but we more than matched sheff utd, who I think are an on paper favourite. We know our young squad can match anyone. If prizes are awarded for bravery, heart and playing for the badge we would be certs for the league. Little bit more patience, one or two injuries back, and a little boost in Jan and we can do it. I am not giving up on top 2 by any means. We know we can put strings of wins together, why not starting now. Wont take a lot to get it back.
Conway on 8 goals and Latte Lath 7 goals Boro will be right up there, helps having 2 goal scoring forwards
Their best player has been Azaz, whose on 6 goals and 7 assists We def need more goals from our forward players
