    What's the phrase? Malign influence?
What a time to be alive! <doh>
I suppose that the saving grace is that fewer and fewer people are actually seeing these posts. But this individual still has a seat at the Trump Cabinet table....for now.

It took you ten seconds to find an article which makes no mention of May Calamawy or Gladiator 2?

Also, what I'm saying is that somebody who worked on the film's script has poured scorn on the version of events you claimed to be the reason her scenes were cut yet are patently not true, yet somehow the lie is the accepted version of events which...well if you don't see an issue with that, Jeremy Clarkson has a protest he'd like you to attend

As has been pointed out elsewhere, what **** For Brains fails to realise is that 1m people signing the petition only draws attention to the petitions which have significantly more signees than that. Petitions such as...
    - 6.1m signing to revoke Article 50 and remain in the EU
    - 4.1m voting for a second EU Referendum
    - 1.8m to cancel Trump's state visit to the UK

Can't think why I've been seeing more Polestars on the roads in the last 3-4 months...

You seemed to be under the impression that this was the first time ever that a well-known actor's scenes had been left on the cutting floor. I provided an article which references 10 similar occurrences. It is from Sept 2023 hence no mention of that specific film.

I'd be interested to read what her co-stars have said about the decision. Pedro Pascal posting photos with her wearing a kaffiyeh as a scarf doesn't hold much substance.

I very specifically said that it wasn't, hence I said that it mainly happens when an actor dies or has a career-ending misdemeanour

And you also tripped over the other major issue: why the radio silence from the studio, Ridley Scott and the rest of the cast? When an actor's scenes are cut the reasons are usually well-known by the time of release and posted on the IMDb page, and yet no reason's been given - which is why such a blatant lie about the nature of the scenes that were removed has been accepted

Similar can be asked for the radio silence about why the gay kiss was cut - though that one is much easier to figure out, as you can guarantee the studio feared backlash from culture warriors aghast that The Very Definitely Heterosexual Roman Empire may be depicted as anything other than Very Definitely Heterosexual so lost their nerve and ordered it be cut

It does have to be said most of her scenes were with Denzel Washington, and while he has criticised the gay kiss being cut he hasn't said anything about her character being removed completely

Lots of freaking out going on about the Romanian election:

Another Russian plant miraculously outperforming expectations. How is it still surprising?

This ****er was completely unheard of as recently as August.
It's not like Farage's Reform Party taking the lead, it's like the English Democrats doing it.
Who are they? Exactly. This **** doesn't pass the smell test.

So for those who already checked out, Bad Enoch brought up that bloody petition in PMQs

You know, the one with less signatures than the one saying Trump's state visit should have been cancelled

    And on that subject...

Don't suppose Bad Enoch wants a petition about bringing Andrea Jenkyns back into the Tory party...?

Louise Haigh should have lied on her CV, as that's apparently not a resigning issue - but apparently lets you be Chancellor
