For me he'd be the ideal man for us, but fraid we're too far down the pecking order for him

We certainly don’t need another egotistical nut job in the dugout thanks.

    (Any odds?)

Walter unfortunately a victim of his own stubornness. It's all well and good to have a playstyle in mind, but when you don't have the personnel to effectively play it, then you MUST adapt to play with the hand you're dealt. Centre Mid seems to be one of stronger squad areas, but under his style we played as if there are landmines buried in and around the centre circle.

I do have symapthy though. He lost our 2 best attacking threats to ACL injuries. He can't physically stop his players from kicking the ball directly at the keeper from less than 5 yards. We've been playing ok, but our decision making and our final ball has been downright awful at times.

Thanks for trying Tim, sorry it didn't work, for you OR for us.

He's turned down Leicester twice. He's not dropping to the championship

Yes it had to happen for the clubs sake. To me those who are gloating about it are idiots. I certainly wish Tim and his family all the best in the future.

    We move on.

Not sure if the football would ever of became great but I think Tim could have made it work to a point given the right tools but he was served a terrible set of circumstances, let down in the summer, a bit of bad luck with injuries and in games and to be honest let down by a proportion of the fan base jumping on his back from pretty much the beginning, he let himself down towards the end and perhaps learned some lessons about ruffling fans feathers along with the butthurt local media. It was always going to need a bit of patience and confidence and everyone pulling together but just didn't happen. Anyway, good luck in the future Tim

Ultimately it had to happen given the mood around the place. I just hope the next manager utilises the midfielders we have, it's what I get the most enjoyment in football from and we have some great potential in that department with the likes of Alzate, puerta and Omur. I'm a fan of Mehlem too who seems to be a bit unpopular at the moment but it will be interesting to see him used in a different way. Hopefully we can add Zambrano to that list eventually if theres a good outcome to that.

Suggestions that it was the fans' chants that made Acun's mind up. You wouldn't think that was required, but it's interesting to think that us shouting was listened to. I really think it's such a stupid mistake that he didn't listen three games earlier when it was just as obvious though. We've basically just given the rest of the league three games in hand.

I think it will be another left field appointment. And I’m not against that, but after flogging a dead horse for 2 months there is now very little leeway for it to go wrong, and if it’s not working action must be taken much quicker. I wouldn’t even give the new man 10 games to produce results and performances before turning to a more pragmatic appointment (Allardyce, Pearson etc) to see out the season.

Tim's position became untenable, and it was time to go but I feel some sympathy for him. I'll always refer to what could have been should he have not had to rely on Pedro, Burstow and Bedia as his striker options. I hope we get a pragmatic manager in to replace Tim, because I think the quality of our squad is poor.

The fans have been chanting longer then last night, id suggest it had a lot to do with seeing the mass exodus after the 2nd goal went in, then boos from the remainder left Acun doesn't like being unpopular, and if he'd kept Wagner, sure is eggs is eggs it could ha e got very uncomfortable for him.

Hull City can confirm we have parted company with head coach Tim Walter with immediate effect.

Assistant head coaches Julian Hübner and Filip Tapalović have also left the club.

First-team coach Andy Dawson will take interim charge while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a permanent successor.

We would like to thank Tim, Julian and Filip for their efforts during their time at the MKM Stadium and wish them well for the future.

Bit harsh on Pearson to lump him in with Big Sam.
