Only at Newcastle can we have two billionaire owners in succession and one wouldn't spend and one can't spend. So depressing.
Well, we've spent, right? Just not always very well. But then as I said elsewhere, maybe last Summer the remit changed to future stars?
The club clearly thought Bruno was going to leave hence the signing of Tonali. One will leave. I know I'll probably be in the minority but I would prefer Tonali to stay over Bruno. In an ideal world EH would suck it up and play both in Rolands double pivot
They didn't just accept results under Pardew... they ripped him to bits regardless of results It's very simple...with some fans it's like or dislike a manager and if they don't like one they'll blame everything on them and if they do like the manager nobody is allowed to question or blame anything on that manager. I prefer to just credit when due and vice versa which I do with Howe and managed to with Bruce. I'm not sure there's another club that would spend 55 million on an Italian international and just continue to play Longstaff either.
Nobody was peddling the notion that Joelinton Bruno and Tonali doesn't work when we roasted villa. It's all about accommodating Sean Longstaff, Including dropping Tonali, moving Joelinton here there and everywhere and Gordon to the right. Pehaps when Longstaff retires the side might progress because there's no possibility whatsoever of another player getting a run of games ahead of him.
It’s always about the commercial element. They have to grow that in multiple levels. Footfall and stadium increases doesn’t hit the spot. It’s commercial income where we improve.
