Well that wasn't very good, not a shot on target in the 2nd golf and only Slaters effort in the first, absolute dross. Left in injury time as can't stand the booing of our players, it's obvious they aren't happy.
I think he might go regardless of what Acun said. Feels an impossible situation to come back from and not sure how he can get his style to work with our current forward line and wing options. When we had Millar and Belloumi we still fell a bit short whilst being very competitive and now we're regressing fast. We seem to have an influential core that lack football intelligence that I think held us back at times in an attacking sense with LR and is partly the reason why this project isn't working out and I fear until it's addressed we will never be the team we need to be. A bit like Man Utd's issues that stays with them regardless of manager.
His stubbornness and refusal to adapt to the players he has available is one of his biggest flaws as a coach and will be his sword to fall on. It also wasn’t a secret that he stubbornly sticks to his style of play regardless of personnel and/or the opposition. Acun, Kesler and whoever else involved in shortlisting and interviewing him would’ve known how stubborn he is regarding his style of play that he’s spent years developing and they still hired him anyway. If they wanted a coach who was flexible regarding tactics, they should’ve ****ing hired one.
He certainly is struggling at his job Chazz and the owner shouldn't be absolved from all blame. He left the bloke hanging until the 11th hour of a transfer window, failed to give him a striker worth his salt and a hutch-load of players who couldn't give a **** whether we stay up or go down...Mercenaries!! He's obviously uprooted his whole family to come here under the premise of our owner buying him some quality assets to do his job properly.Personally I don't think Tim Walter realised the gravity of the task he was set and his knowledge of English football is negligible,in truth be looks lost and tonight he looked to be suffering from the realisation that he's incapable of doing the job,he looks broken...I can throw sh!t as well as the next man but there can be no pleasure taken from the forlorn figure he cut tonight cuddling his kids. Yes,he must shoulder a fair portion of the blame that culminated in one of the most toothless performances that many of us have seen down through the years but the players were as guilty and so is the Owner...His new toy has ran out of batteries and he'll struggle to get a full refund with the state it's currently in!!
My love for the season half died with millars injury I think its fully gone tonight I dont really like any of our players
Arguably the worst of the recent spell. No fight. No creativity. Team looks devoid of any confidence. He just needs to go now. He can’t recover it. Even if he recovers the on field situation there’s no way he recovers how the fans feel.
What players had he in Germany that understand his style. Presume they will be the transfer targets if Acun intends having zero egg on his face.
To be fair, majority have only been here 5 mins, but it's not unusual to see a squad bereft of belief look completely different with a bit of organisation and confidence. Just get some competence in the training ground and in the dugout.
We are not only losing season, at this rate all players we have is worth half of their value and still on juicy wages. Entire team value is going down, fans will leave soon, means less income. So we are heading to a situation with same expenditure, less and less income, moreover our assets are worthless.
They did have fight though. It's fading away but it's being sapped out of them as it would anyone being told to do their job in a specific way that they knew wasn't working.
