Two consecutive player of the month trophies for Saintz has triggered a round of interest rumours including Galatasaray, Athletico and Villareal. Can't believe it's only them to be honest.
I am really concerned, regarding holding onto Sainz. If a good offer is made, we will definitely accept, it's happened before. Just enjoy the guy, while he's still here.
Without Sainz's goals this season we would be in the relegation zone. Knapper hasn't set the world on fire with his recruitment of potential goalscorers - a total of two goals scored so far, one by Crnac and the other by Gordon.
Another Sainz hat trick,15 in all competitions. I wonder how much the owner will accept before he goes? Are we in a financial position to reject all offers?
We're going to get a lot of interest, from here and overseas. It'll need to be a crazy offer to let him go in Jan but if the contacts start coming in, I just hope it's managed better than the Rowe and Kamara transfers.
I can’t see him going in January but equally I don’t see how we hold onto him in the summer, especially if we are in the Championship as is most likely
It's simply a matter of whether Sainz wants to stay or not. As I understand it, no club has ever paid a transfer fee to secure his signature; he has always moved on as a free agent. Why should this time be any different?
Sainz signed a 3 year contract in 2023. So why you should think he is likely to leave on a free transfer is beyond me ! The most likely scenario is that he will leave at the end of this season for a fee in excess of 30 m. The fact that he has previously moved on as free agent is completely irrelevant.
Attanasio has said quite firmly that there's no need to sell Sainz in January. Borja will have his own ambitions, hopefully here now and the PL later.
It could cost us around £1.5m to sign Slimane on a permanent deal according to this: https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/n...heffield-united-anis-ben-slimane-summer-deal/
Yeah I think that was the rumoured fee when he came in. Seems like a good deal to me, especially if we can build his fitness
Speaking of 'all the Danes', this could be a reasonable shout: https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/n...hoff-thorup-benjamin-nygren-borja-sainz-blow/
Liverpool are "considering" recalling Gordon in January. He certainly does not appear to be needed at Carrow Road.
This is a reasonable in depth summary on Gordon's situation from both clubs' points of view: https://www.liverpool.com/liverpool-fc-news/features/kaide-gordon-norwich-city-loan-30574604
