Couldn't resist - Mogwai announce Glasgow dates (2 nites at Barrowlands) on top of the Edinburgh gig I've already got tickets for...just had to get them! Getting excited for the new album already... They've also announced US and Far East dates .... but not down under (yet)
Tonight will be raucous and LOUD! Just hope the really ****ty weather doesn't keep some of the punters away... Intrigued to see how this all goes down in a big venue like the Hydro with a 2000 strong mosh pit on the floor and another 8-10,000 in the seats
Off to the TV Studio at SWG3 tonight, holds about 500, for a double header of Irish punk... First up Chalk, who I saw earlier in the year, kinda electro-punk sound
And main act is Sprints - tried to get tickets to see them at King Tuts earlier this year, but it was sold out
Last two surviving members of the MC5 died earlier this year. This was from their first LP, a live one, in 1969. Their influence on countless bands since, including some of the young ones that Steelsy sees, is obvious. Kick out the jams, motherfuckers!
