Neither do I mate, but I am hoping that he can adapt , history says not, but we will see, and for all our sakes I hope history is wrong. Reading the Mayenda musing above is a bit un settling too, it shows him to be rather slow on the uptake, or at best ultra cautious, explaining his obvious reluctance to use subs other than in an injury situation.. Other managers over the weekend used this lever wisely, we didn't .
Midweek game near to Christmas, just before pay day for a lot of people and in an area where many work shifts. Not to mention the crap public transport on an evening, which plays a part if you are taking kids who are at school the next day. Midweek games are a pain in the arse for a lot of fans.
I can’t entertain this idea of resting players because of potential cards or which following opponents may be next … … the most important match is the next you play imo. Mayenda - Isidor - Roberts is our strongest forward line for a home game so let’s play them and score some goals. Watson isn’t strong or decisive enough yet but good as an impact sub. Win tonight then we can think about Friday.
It's a lovely day out there but a bit on the chilly side. Guessing the sol will be very cold tonight. I'm going for 3-1 to the lads. Enjoy one and all.
Don’t like mentioning them on our match thread but I remember Bruno Guimareas last season (I think) being one card away from suspension after about 7/8 games and managed to get to 18 without getting another playing arguably the role that picks up most cards on the pitch. A little bit of common sense and caution isn’t difficult
Agree, cautious, however not ready to use subs he doesn't feel he can rely on yet......sensible approach. However, full strength side out tonight regardless of yellow card issues will reap reward.
Spot on, unless its a cup game or we have equal cover (which we don't in Jobe) we should play our strongest team.
