I think I said west Ham would finish above us before the season started... they have good players....it showed today that they can play and they were missing kudos. I don't think we've got enough....yes we've got a handful of very good players, but we've also got a large percentage of below par ones and it'll tale a few years to correct that. West Ham have been top half and higher for a few years before our takeover.

They played some nice stuff but Newcastle have always been **** against a stocky striker and then fast players playing off. I thought Summerville was great and would have been more lethal if it wasn't for Tino who had a great game against him. Newcastle panic'd and there was no build up to their play. I think the players have a motivation issue against lower league sides. This game was really bad and I think Im with Roy, we are a 7- 12th place team and I think PSR will keep us there. Howe, is great at handling the press etc and is a genuine guy but it all feels very stale. Our corners and free kicks are a waste of time, we are good when teams come onto us but run out of ideas very quickly when a team sits back. We have replaced Dummet with a more expensive Kelly who will be like Lewis, on the books forever. We have so many left sided midfielders that Howe is too nice to make a call on. Basically mid table beckons and then we will have to sell Isak or Bruno.
It's not really they're 3 points behind us and they were tipped to challenge top 6 themselves. They have some very good players. They just beat us.

The moneys dried up, so nothing can really be done about it...the squad is 400 million away from competing with the top 6.... 7th or 8th looks a stretch. Howe has no chance of his objective if it's Europe... he just hasn't got the players. Oh well on to Palace.
The cup is more interesting than mid table that's for sure. We had mid table for 4 years before the takeover.. it's dull! I think I preferred the relegation battles and the championship.
