It’s never easy to call, I wanted Cooper at the start of the season. He had kept Forest up so ticked that box, but with the impending points deduction we expected and a probable relegation, he’d got Forest up so ticked that box too. Not being attached to a club also worked in his favour as we didn’t have to shell out compensation to anyone. In the end it was a big mess, glaringly obvious there was no real game plan, unless the players chose to not stick to it, and his team selections were puzzling to say the least. Blaming the officials smacks of desperation and the writing was on the wall when he went down that road. As to who we want next, Moyes has the best track record in my eyes. He had a blip with Sunderland and took on the poisoned chalice following Fergie, but with Everton and West Ham he made them hard to beat and had them at the right end of the table most seasons, Potter has rejected us before so he can forget it and Van Nistelrooy would be too much of an untested manager for this league.
