Not specifically related to today's racing but I thought the O'Learys said a few years ago they were going to reduce the number of horses they had in training - I think they even had a dispersal sale. They seem to have more than ever at the moment though with plenty of good young horses coming through like yesterday's bumper winner at Punchestown, Kalypso'chance.

Edit: I just googled, they have an annual dispersal sale.

Here is the Sporting Life article from 2019 - he must have changed his mind <laugh>

Usual quiet Monday on the DRT, but will have a bash. Looking things over, it is a pretty chicken-sh!t effort, but never mind. just couldn't see anything else of interest! Here goes:

    13:15 Ludlow - Coconut Twist

Class-5 Handicap Chase over distance just short of 3m. on good-to-soft ground.

Harry Reed rides this Shantou gelding (Damsire: Presenting) for the Daisy Hitchins yard

6/1 (Bet365/Wm.Hill) best price early-doors, on the ATR site.

    ....................

    15:25 Ludlow - Faerie Cutlass

Class-5 Handicap Hurdle over a distance just short of 3m. on good-to-soft ground.

Jonathan Burke rides this Black Sam Bellamy mare for the Kim Bailey stable.

5/2 best price in most places early-doors, on the ATR site.

    ....................

(Win on each and e/w double)

Talking of Kim Bailey, people, I see that he is shortly to be joined on the license by his long-term assistant. Wonder if it will business as usual or will the Ivy now be grown in a different way?!? New gardener, new ideas, new fertilizer and all that...

Hopefully the Assistant will have some say on Cheltenham festival targets after the 2024 debacle where the Ivy Grower put both his Cheltenham entries in the same race.

Faerie Cutlass saved the day, won at 11/4, after a dismal effort by the first selection. Good effort by FC and well-ridden by Jonathan Burke..
