It will be very expensive as his back room staff Dawson aside will be shown the door too. Then a new manager will want his own coaches. The **** won’t be cheap.
We need characters in the team like Meyler and McShane etc. The current crop, with the exception of Coyle, have absolutely no fight or desire to up their game and try to get back ito the game. You can tell by their body language that they don't care. They get paid regardless.
This current crop of players are really soft. Barring Giles, I don’t think they have poor attitudes or a lack of professionalism per se but they also don’t have much in the way of character either. Coyle’s a fighter who will play through pain but he doesn’t really strike me as a leader in the same way Ashbee was. He’s good at nurturing the younger lads and welcoming the foreign lads in the dressing room which shouldn’t be downplayed but he isn’t a disciplinarian who will bollock his teammates when they’re not doing their jobs properly and raising standards. Can’t remember his name but Portsmouth’s number 30 against us was very vocal throughout the entire game, giving orders, rallying his teammates and they ended up outfighting us in the second half. We don’t have that and too often we are bullied by more physical teams with nasty ****houses. It was the exact same last season as well.
Acun would have been stupid if he hadnt insisted on a clause to get rid of him if the team were in the relegation places
It not as expensive as you'd think, backroom staff at our level aren't on a fantastic wage and neither is Tim.. finances are not the reason we're not sacking him.
I've said the same many a time and its been that way more or less since Meyler retired. I had hoped that his backroom position might have exerted some influence but seemingly not.
I'll take you word for it HT2.... in which case it must be a case of 'not losing face'.... note to Acun, you've already lost it...
I think this is where we are missing Tan. I remember at the 1904 live podcast Tan mentioned if they make mistakes they like to correct them quickly which I think was in reference to players like Vinagre coming in then being ditched in January. Could be wrong but my gut suggests that if tan were still about Tim wouldn’t be here.
Quite possibly maybe Tan didn’t think it was a good appointment to start with. Obviously I am just guessing.
