I wasn't aware that it is 8 games without a win. Does anyone know what's the record in professional football for a manager without being sacked? Except situations like team financially went broke etc. I mean really competitive ones.
I’m not sure. Derby won 1 game out of 38 in 07/08 and went 32 without a win which is the record for the longest streak in England, I think Davies got sacked halfway through that though and I can’t remember if he got the win or not.
We are currently on the 2nd longest winless run in the whole country, behind QPR (on 12 without a win) Ex city bellend Steve Bruce is in third place also on 8 games without a win. He should have stayed retired.
We need to win against Sheff Wed., I don't see a win against M.Boro or Blackburn or the next 6 games afterwards until QPR, may be Preston away and tiny little chance against Coventry, may be. Not a great fixture, we might even be alone with QPR at bottom 2 when we face them.
Is that true, I wrote a few pages ago someone said that before, I called it nonsense but if it continues this way I will start to believe it.
I don’t think that’s true. The players have had more than enough to win 4 out the last 5 without looking wide open but we haven’t
We have been wide open though, giving away silly chances. Maybe not 10 in a game, but still gifting good opportunities to the enemy. I do agree though, we have looked better at times and created some really nice chances for ourselves, that for whatever reason we just seem completely incapable of taking.
That’s the championship though, were every team we’ve played against wide open because we created sitters against them? Sloppy defending isn’t being wide open
Considering we had the money to sign Fofana deadline day and have money to strengthen in January, it's not true.
His salary relative to players would be tiny. I think it's a rumour that's grown legs to justify Acuns stubbornness.
Thing is I genuinely believe there has been clear improvement, Walter is just an utter ****ebag who hasn’t taken to English culture at all. Not helped by incompetent senior figures, if he’d not rubbed fans entirely the wrong way some people might be able to look passed the dislike of him and see we are genuinely being let down every game by poor finishing. We aren’t going through games not creating for players to score and have formerly top strikers in Europe missing 2 chances 10 yards from goal and another missing a sitter too. They’re not half chances they’re sitters. Luton should’ve been out of sight as they did **** all, swap the strikers and it’s a whitewash but again, incompetent senior figures leave us with Bedia and Pedro. Walter should be sacked purely because he’s completely neglecting fans with the way he carries himself.
But he insists on playing kamara on the left for some idiotic reason. If kamara was coming in from the right with his chance early he's aiming far corner with his shot not pulling it across goal. There's so many things like that where Walter is doing himself no favours.
