He is way too good for them. However, I'm not at all surprised that it's taken Wolves just two games to jump from 20th to 17th. I did always feel like their horrendous opening fixture list had left them in a totally false position. They could well continue to climb up the table now.
Looks like we gave Wolves just the boost they needed. Saints and empowering our direct rivals, what a timeless combination.
Just getting off the bottom is looking like a big challenge. Any hope we had of surviving disappeared with the Wolves defeat. I just hope that we don't go and waste another £40m in January, and then find ourselves handicapped come summer 2026. Keep the money for when it can be better spent.
If Ipswich win tomorrow and we lose then we’re 8 points adrift from them. That is a big ask to come back from. On the other hand????
What an absolute ****e set of results for us. I'd be worried about relegation if we didn't have a pragmatic and tactically astute manager.
Manchester City 1-0 Southampton Pep: "I will learn a lot from Russell Martin" City lose next five games in a row.
Ahhh, maybe that was RM’s goal all along. Get Pep gushing about us, falling into a lost sense of security, loses his job & who better to take over!?
