Forgot to mention, watched the 2nd series and at the end they put on the screen they have run out of money, so there won’t be a third season<doh>

Totally agree. Scary that it's a true story.

    Slow Horses.

MI5 type thing. Apple TV. Absolutely superb. Gary Oldman has some classic one liners.

I imagine that they didn't wrap bugger all up by the end of S2? Or is there a decent ending of sorts.

Just watched Temple on Netflix. Started decent enough with series 1, the worst episode was one of those where everything that could go wrong did (to a stupid extent for me). They leaned into that for the whole of series 2 which spoilt it for me.

There is a death in series 2 that was ****ing ridiculous!

Also watched the 2nd series of the old man the other week. Which is decent apart from the bit where they are in London and they make it that British police have guns sat about in the police station!

I mainly enjoyed it for its style and suspected the writers were winging it, still disappointing when a good show gets left hanging. Mindhunter was like that.

Just watching 'From' this based on your recommendation. It's brilliant. Really tense.

I hated lost, and hope the ending isn't something too ridiculous. I don't really care about the premise, just enjoying the tension and relationships

Happy you’re enjoying it. We’re half way through Series 3 now. It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out. I’ve never watched Lost so can’t comment on it. I just hope with From that it doesn’t degenerate into a formulaic series similar to what happened with The Walking Dead, which I thought was great in the beginning but then became very samey.

I'm having a massive dry spell can't seem to find anything to watch that I really like. Thought Penguin would be one from the acclaim but it just seemed like a fairly standard crime drama to me.

If you haven't already, The Batman is the starting point for it and a great watch. I've seen it a load of times.

I think problem with 2nd series for me was people doing stupid things. I can almost forgive the daughter for chucking the stuff in the bin right by the CCTV camera, people can do stupid stuff!

But a bloke who in series one was a detective inspector being stupid enough to stand 6 inches away from a bomb proof door and shoot it about 30 seconds after another shot he fired bounced off the door and narrowly missed him! Why didn't he just shoot the door once and it hit him? Probably to make it clear to the audience how he died, but it annoyed the **** out of me because he would have seen that happen the first time and went **** that was lucky best not shoot at that door again!

Gary Oldman has some superb lines in that. Agree 2nd series a slight dip but still tremendous in my opinion. Enjoyed Ted Lasso so may give this Shrinking a watch.
