To be honest that reads to me like someone who is adding football as a second thought and doesn't really think the football club is important. Hull has two very well known clubs in a minority sport, given the numbers who watch them in relation to the football team (in know some will be the same people) I don't think it's a safe assumption to say Hull is a rugby league city or a football city. I also don't understand why anyone would want to. Its just a place innit.
The RL gets similar numbers to City (perhaps you could argue more given we get a couple of thousand away fans at home games, which the Rugby don't). Why does it have to be one or the other, it's a sporting City - end of argument
If we're going to be so reductive as to call Hull an X city, we might as well be brutally honest and call it an armchair Premier League football city.
Exactly, not sure why we need to have it in a box for one or the other. We should be grateful we have such a selection of elite sporting clubs to choose from. Imagine living in Cambridge!
Not really surprised that a man who works in rugby league says Hull's a rugby league city (whilst also mentioning the football club)?
I worked at a rugby league club in London but I didn't tell people it was a rugby city. Not sure he needs to try and gain mates by telling egg chasers they live in a city that likes rugby more than football.
I made a pitstop at the Bagel Factory in St Stephens - and wasn't disappointed. I wasn’t sure if that was after he had voided the contents of his stomach .That is the accompanying picture to his review ,give me strength. please log in to view this image
