Wasn't going to watch that but glad I did. Makes you realise how things have changed and not all for the better.
Newspapers are expensive now and scarce due to the internet .
Like he said, used to wrap fish and chips, and newspaper bog roll lol.
I can remember as a kid chips were about 10p a bag. Then suddenly they were fooking taxed and doubled to 20p a bag, soon after rising to around 30p FFS.

£6 for chips and curry FFS lol.
I remember the council in South Shields forcing the red hut to close on the coast. The tale of the whale having a serving hatch and queuing up for fish and chips for me, mrs and kids to get handed frozen supermarket type fish and frozen fries for extortionate cost. I told them to shove it <laugh>

Indian and Chinese must be the modern British takeaway :emoticon-0148-yes:<laugh>

There was an article the other day saying favourite sandwiches like ham or cheese and pickle are getting shunned by modern gen z in favour of poncey seeded bread with smashed avocado and a poached egg or some such poncey pretentious nosh <laugh>

I love Christmas and this year I will have a canny break finishing on the 20th and not returning till the 6th, unfortunately my wife works in retail so she doesnt get the same time off but we are looking forward to it none the less. Last year was a right off, 1st one without my Mam and we all found it difficult, Christmas revolved around Mams house and I just couldnt get into the spirit of Christmas if that makes sense. Mam loved Christmas she just loved having all the family around her together at the same time and the memories I have are priceless, this may sound silly but I am going to carry on Mams traditions and make a few of my own as a way of moving on and remembering mam at Christmas, she would hate us to be sad anyway but especially at Christmas, so 2024 will be the start of new family traditions in memory of my Mam and I will be thinking of her every minute of it, my little tribute to my Mam god bless her.

I remember you posting in 2023 that your Mam was poorly. The first one of anything (Christmas, birthdays etc) are always the hardest, but especially Christmas....a time for families.
Hope you have a great Christmas, and remember the good times, the happy times.
Love that you're going to carry on the traditions in memory of your Mam, she'll be looking down thinking, "that's my boy".
    All the best mate.

Hi mate, yeah looks the same.
The good thing with having the tank is that the compressor isn't running all the time, it just kicks in to top the tank up.
I use mine in the dining room and the Mrs in the living room can't hear it, even with the doors open.
Good price that, the airbrush may not be the best, but it'll get you going.

I'll hoy some pics up tonight of the Land Rover, finished it last night.

Aye apparently the tank gives steadier air pressure and less chance of moisture causing splatter :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Edit.
Just checked their feedback mate, looks like they sell returns/seconds.
Fook that, I'll pay the extra £20.
Just don't like buying off Amazon lol <laugh>

Art has become just another tax dodge.

It’s money laundering for the super wealthy who begrudge governments raising taxes to pay for the police they demand and prisons to lock up anyone they find irritating.

They rely on working people to pay the taxes …

… they’d rather pay costly accountants £1m a year to save £1m+£1 in tax.

Millionaires and billionaires never think they have enough, fact.

Every time a Rod Stewart type says they’ll leave the UK if they have to pay more tax …

… my natural response is ‘Do you need a lift to the airport?’
