You're welcome to it, cod is muck so befitting of being smothered in further muck The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
What I can’t understand, Tan is still working in football, meeting UEFA representatives, doing courses, interviews, and speaking at football related events around the world. He’s been posting about all of this on social media too. I find it hard to believe someone would be doing all that after they’ve supposedly just been sacked at their last football club for dodgy dealings or gross misconduct? And if that was the case these orgs and people wouldn’t be inviting him in the first place?
Maybe he hasn't. Perhaps he just fell out with Acun. But some random no accountable Turkish accounts said he did some ****. Seems odd to me nothing has come out in the UK. Or any legal proceedings started....
Like FIFA and UEFA are bastions of virtue? I'm pretty sure the dispute between Tan and the club will be a civil matter as opposed to a criminal one at this stage. And even if it were he wouldn't be guilty until proven so.
What's he been accused of and or found guilty of for these places to pull invites and or association with him? There's absolutely zero out there bar speculation from fans etc. nobody should lose their ability to earn a living of the back of online accusations without any evidence.
Yeah that’s my point, I’m leaning towards it might all be bullshit or a personal fall out rather than professional because if it was professional he wouldn’t be doing all that
Agreed. It's mental some, especially on twitter, are all up on the rumours being 100% true. I've no idea but it seems far fetched to me and as you say unproven.
I've heard various different things and some aren't great, but until any proof is out there or something official, then the bloke should be free to carry on with his life. Trial by social media is yet another huge negative of what social media has become
Has Tan done a statement about leaving, thanking the fans, acun etc and wishing the club all the best?
For starters, social media needs reframing as a concept because it is now just media. This is why people shouldn't complain about others getting jailed for tweets, as the responsibility is now on all of us.
Unless it's something totally extreme ( direct threats to kill for example ) I don't think people should be jailed for tweets or social media posts, especially when people like Huw Edwards walk away with no time inside
