His political leanings have nothing to do with my opinion of him. I'm just not keen on people who shout their high principles to the rooftops … … while clearly lying through their hypocritical teeth. It’s amazing that so many people, he instinctively looks down on, hero worship him. Like many of his friends he’s clearly happy to dodge as much tax as possible while decrying the lack of money to police and lock up anyone he finds irritating.

Well, good for you. He clearly is a hypocrite. Doesn't mean that he's wrong to support a large group of people who are clearly worried about their future though, does it?
So who is this person? What are their credentials? What makes them more correct than the thousands of people that are worried about this? Surely if people are genuinely worried about something like this, it's correct to listen to their concerns, rather than call them brainwashed?

I'm not entirely sure why that's funny. There are plenty of people who appear to be concerned about this issue so supporting them isn't a bad thing in itself. Even if he has a vested interest. You are right though, he is the wrong poster boy because the people that need to be convinced won't listen to someone like him.
It’s funny because Clarkson’s ‘support’ is laughable in my opinion. He’s standing around, with people he probably goes shooting with, talking to Victoria Derbyshire. As I’ve said it’s not exactly going on hunger strike or chaining himself to the railings outside the Ministry of Agriculture … … not hilarious but mildly amusing imo. The issue isn’t laughable but Clarkson is a performing clown who thinks he’s witty.
Hmm. There are some pretty big things that he leaves out here mind. He's certainly right about what the problems are for farmers but the question "why are farmers complaining about inheritance tax?" is a bit daft. It's pretty clear that the inheritance tax has the potential, under the current circumstances, to eat further into the income of farms if or when they are passed on. He's a bit misleading about the value of farmland too. It's not just valuable because it can be used to avoid inheritance tax. Some farmland has value because it can built on, for example. He also completely misses the point about farming families wanting to retain farms that have been in families for generations. What he should be saying is inheritance tax could be good for farming under a particular set of circumstances which don't currently exist. It is just the tip of the iceberg though. That's fair.

They certainly do. Mind you, if you were in a position where you believed you wouldn't have to pay inheritance tax and believed that it would have big consequences on you or children's livelihood if you did, and all that suddenly changed, I can understand why you'd be concerned about it.
Somebody mentioned it was a disgrace paying farmers £24.000 in subsidies, it’s easy to put that right, stop the subsidies and pay the proper price for your food. I wonder if you would be winging then?
I have concerns about the winter payments and the low cut off so it’s quite possible they haven’t exactly got this right, but let’s be honest about this, you only have to see fields at election time to see which political side the farmers take and it’s an obvious assumption that much of this is political. People with most need to pay the biggest share or our services nosedive. That’s a reality. Tax is not a dirty word, it makes our country function effectively. People sit moaning about A and E and moan about tax at the same time. Farage in the city dressed in country attire - embarrassing. Clarkson and Dyson who owned up to anti social tax avoidance - embarassing. People don’t have the right to more money and less taxes. Make fair representation to government through the channels of engagement but don’t stand cheering on people who aren’t paying their way for everyone’s services and who don’t even turn up to their own constituency because of risk but waltz around the streets of America and central London.
