Bloody long way for a meeting. I did some silly miles for short meetings back in the day, but with technology as it is now, is it necessary? Time on the training paddock would be better.
At least it's the international break so those not away will only have gentle training or even time off. Back to the grind next week after the Iceland game. I guess VT wants to see the whites of his eyes before giving him the job. It would be a bloody long trip just to give him his P45.
Looks like it’s neither Bluey. Riza is back and still in charge, temporarily. He will continue as interim manager until January and Tan and the board will continue to assess any progress made. It’s becoming a bit of a fecking joke now. Riza flies to Malaysia to be told nothing has changed and flies back home. Haven’t they heard of phones or zoom? Meanwhile the guy who’s improved our team is left waiting by our inept board. You may have noticed on my score predictions that I support giving the job to Riza, full time. Okay some of you may disagree but for fecks sake will someone make a decision.
Okay IB pal, Masky will make a decision.... you're a TWAAT of the first order....the worst ukelele payer I've encountered today....and you owe Masky a Guinness at your earliest convenience! Masky Of Llandaff
Oh thank you oh masked one. That’s very kind of you. You will recall that I have offered to buy you a pint of Ireland’s finest on a number of occasions. Just name the time and place pal.
Such a pleasant Irish fella, so you are....one day I will surprise you pal, so I will! Masky Of Llandaff
Back on the thread subject. I think there was a element of understandable "dead cat bounce" when Bulut was sacked that we shouldn't necessarily soley attribute to Riza's involvement. When the Bulut "shackles" came off, there could well have been a sigh of relief amongst many of the players rather than sorrow at his demise. Leaving aside the last performance at Sheffield on which I've expressed my opinions quite enough, a new found freedom of expression has been apparent amongst the squad. They're essentially the same players and putting it down to Riza is only fair, but I've got a niggling fear about it continuing without some pretty significant additions. I hope it didn't come to an end in that sorry affair at Hillsborough and we start scrambling for points just to stay clear of the dotted line. If we don't pick up all 3 against QPR, I think Riza's days are numbered. Tan will keep quiet when things are going OK but he won't continue to sit on his hands if it goes downhill. The problem then is what the hell will he and his henchmen come up with?
Word tonight. Bilic has been to see VT in Malaysia. Likely to get the job in January once his gardening leave ends and there is no comp to pay. Robins was invited to travel but said, no. If Tan wants to interview me he can Skype, Zoom, Team, video call or come to the UK. Clearly that went no further.
Riza makes some good points in his post match interview but at the end of the day he picked that team and he determined the tactics. His limitations and unsuitability for the job are now there to see. IMO it goes much deeper than pointing the finger at the manager. How many times has it been said on this message board the fundamental problem is the club hierarchy? Until their philosophy changes it’ll be the same old problem season after season. Again with hindsight but it’s bleeding obvious the decision to keep Bulut was wrong and the poor pre season recruitment was insufficient. This season has shown how badly the team misses a proper striker and winger. Last night exemplified that to a tee. Riza said post match the team wouldn’t have scored until the cows came home. How true was that? No cutting edge and end product. It can only be hoped City can scrape enough points together to not be cast adrift by January and have a really good window - and not leave it to the 31st to get at least a decent striker in.
It looks to me that we have one already but he doesn't get a look in. Reindorf must be so frustrated. He is all prepared, fully warmed up and then Meitie gets the nod.
In my view a fair, balanced article from Glen. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar If a little long winded. I'll give him that one though.

The Abb was right then. Best of luck to Riza. We can only but hope he’s given some money in January and that he’s already made progress on new players.
About time. Riza had done a decent job and hopefully the uncertainty over his position will now ease and help him to go forward with more positivity. As Nin says, I hope he has been preparing for the January window for outgoing and incoming players and has someone in mind to stick the ball in the back of the net. This of course depends on how much financial backing he will get and this worries me to be honest.
