A lot of it is profile related, too IMO. Putting 'England's Greatest Goalscorer' into that team means compensating elsewhere (the whole thing about then needing to find pace behind from elsewhere because Kane is so ponderous). Also tends to clogs the same spaces, which doesn't help other players thrive.

We need to be careful that the narrative doesn't get away from us a bit on the back of last night. Saka, Grealish and Foden remain better players than Madueke and Gordon. I'd back them to do as well if not better if used properly. That's the key, though. You can't put them all into the team at once. Choices need to be made.

He’s doing well. Couple of timely interceptions.

 

He's growing into the game very nicely and should have had a assist for that chance.

 

I genuinely don't mind admitting when I am wrong however, I have been with Jobe. I thought last year he was a bit of a weak link.

This year has has been the ultimate essential player in the CM for us. He has morphed into a beast and frankly it's going to cost some serious licks to get him out of our club.

 

Same here mate , and on this seasons evidence, he has proved a vital link with Rigg . The future is bright.
