I've long maintained this, unfortunately you hear someone like Kane saying nation should come before club, and plenty seem to agree.

It does have a slight impact on thr euro qualification and it has an impact on world rankings.

Not taking it seriously is not an option but it seems Southgate walked into this in rank bad form last time and relegated us before people bothered to turned up again for the real tournament.

Now they have nothing bothered to show up for the b league.

It's headed back to the really poor attendance from the era of friendlies.

Managers were too weak to put big names in their place regarding attendance.

Imo Cole Palmer for one should have it be known he will be sat on his arse for the next few games as he's faked a knock here

    Same for saka possibly

I think we all feel the same in that we just want no injuries, but you still end up with a tired player. Especially if they travel miles to get to the game, then play 90 minutes.

Huge confidence booster for him to come back to lfc as an international. Knowing that his form has got him recognition and doing more of the same will help continue to be included going forward. Only a good thing for us

Yeah, good experience and he may learn something being with new lads from other teams and a new manager.

At his age/experience, I think the learning and growth opportunities outweigh the injury risk.

not a new manager or to some extent new players as Curtis was the U21 captain ,under Carslley , in the team that won the euros and any number of England fringe players were in that squad

Xabi Alonso is to leave Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season. Manchester City would like to have him.

But will Xabi be willing to manage a team in the Blue Square Northern League?

As far as i am concerned he gave us the cold shoulder so he will only ever try for us as his last resort

Real first. Anchelotti is toast after this season.
    Bayern after that.

Probably unfair to say we're last resort, but, yeah, he wants Real most of all and I'm sure that's why he turned us down. We could be his second choice... Regardless, hes not coming here for a long time. FSG aren't fans of manager turn-over, Slot is doing well, and he is still young.

Even if Alonso unexpectedly flops at Real next season, I think Slot is on track to earning enough good-will this season that, even if he had a poor season next season, FSG will give him time.

I'm predicting Alonso will get sacked at Real and go elsewhere long before Slot parts ways with us. Real love changing managers at every little rough-patch.

Last of the 3 ex clubs then.

He's made it very clear that the line of unfinished business at leverkusen was ****e at this post as what unfinished business???

I think he will go to real as the job is opening up.

Bayern will then be next choice.

Slot is at a club that will try and keep him too long really. Top clubs normally have a shelf life after which ideas go stale and players don't listen

We kept klopp too long amd we fell over ourselves to sign him and his team back up when they turned up looking for a massive pay rise. Now they are all gone a certain freshness has appeared.

I would hope we never go and give someone too much control again but control things at executive level.more robustly from here. If Slot performs by all.means keep him 5 years.

City have lost their tech ical director now and pep is on the way out and in reality both may have overstayed as well.

Arsenal are on a cycle as well where arteta hasn't delivered amd the technical director is going so what happened next. It's so close to working on the pitch.

Man utd have been a joke on amd off the park so only time tells with there executives who kept tin hat and how thry back amorim

    Cheslea are bizarrely run.

For me Brighton are the club that have shown the way time and again without breaking their wage structure to keep anyone.

Lfc can keep people but need to be more robust off the park from here on in.

If they want alonso after he has been dispensed with by real and Bayern then that's their call at least he has not yet done a Gerrard. (Yet)
