You mean he thought goal music might be a good idea because of his German experience but I the 4 months he’s been here he hadn’t deduced that most City fans don’t want it , didnt he do psychology at school ? Maybe someone deliberately didn’t tip him off , to get him the sack ? He’s doing nothing but be true to his self which he should have the strength of conviction to do , whether we like it or not . I really hope he succeeds .
Hope ya recovery goes well Muffin, do ya physio when it's time too. I couldn't do a lot of the physio because of how severe my heart attack was and how it left me but the small amount I could do helped a lot. Good luck mate.
66 Chazz. Thanks for all the good wishes. Went dizzy and blacked out for two minutes, slight ache in my chest. Thankfully the wife was home and ignored my protestations that I’d be fine and called an ambulance. ECG told them I’d had a heart attack and 90 minutes later I had two stents in my heart. Going home today, ambulance and hospital staff have been bloody brilliant.
You could call it strength of conviction. Or arrogance. He always seems to suggest that the way it is in Germany is the right way and that we're just not used to it yet. It's certainly a bold way to go about settling into a new country.
Well, I wouldn’t mind the MKM being like the Bundesliga 2nd division. Add in safe standing, 10,000 in Hamburg’s case, beer being available inside the stadium to drink in your seats, local transport included , crowds of 60,000+ in their second tier and it seems the German way is working better. You can see why he considers our support is somewhat lacking. More atmosphere before the game then we generate even if doing well. Of course that observation could apply to our football in general.
Blimey! Good to see you on here so soon afterwards, though as you say whether that’ll help your recovery may be a different question…
I think my problem with Walter’s comments about the fans at the Portsmouth game was that it was in response to a question about the fans reaction to our performance/result. Immediately deflecting the conversation to how good the Portsmouth fans were was a bit dismissive of our fan bases feelings. He didn’t actually say we were rubbish fans but he effectively said we weren’t as good as the Portsmouth fans. If he’d have said ‘I heard it and I take it on board. We need to find ways to win games to get fans back on side. I want to hear them as much as I heard the Portsmouth fans backing their team’, that’s the same message but being less of a stubborn prick.
They were singing like that before the game. Away games they have a few more than us, 20,000 at Düsseldorf.
I doubt theyre louder than our fans They sound loud on vids but not in reality They should join an opera or something
