Are two footballing empires crumbling. You have highlighted City losing. Real Madrid also lost.tonight at home to a very, very ordinary AC Milan.
Looking at the line-ups of Real Madrid and AC.Milan and what is noticeable is glaring lack of Spanish players in the Madrid line-up.and an absence of Italians in Milan's.

Thats f*cking insane. He's been incredible for them. Two promotions, and a Championship play-off. Have improved year on year despite always selling their best players. Arguably the best manager outside the Prem.
Where if not for VAR they'd have made the final and completed arguably the greatest comeback in the tournaments history.
Another good win for Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League, 2-1 against Ludograts. The club is a wonderful example of harnessing the talent within its región, and a stark contrast.to Real.Madrid.
Last week England Rugby Union lost to the Kiwis because of a late try. Just conceded a late try to go behind against the Aussies. However they have just equalised, just need to convert to go ahead. Yes. 2 points clear 45 seconds on the clock Oops wrong thread
Former president of Turkish club Ankaragucu Faruk Koca sentenced to 3 years and 7 months in prison for the awful assault on a referee following a Turkish Super Lig match last year.
Seeing as most of us on here like to think we know what we're talking about https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cde76rn63r7o
I haven't seen a game of football in ages, the last one being Real Mallorca v Valencia two years ago live and of course Spain's matches at the Euros.! SInce then, nada. I am missing something these days?
This from BBC build up to the Greece vs England game tonight. "love to see the international breaks scrapped and play all international matches through a 6 week period each summer. Tournaments in the 'even years' (2024, 2026, etc) and qualifiers in the odd years (2025, 2027, etc). The domestic season could run 1 Sept-30 April as there would be less breaks, less overseas travelling leading to injuries - especially for non-European players, and more importantly, if players pull out for minor reasons, they'd not get to represent their country. Having 4 months between the end of a domestic season and the start of the next, alongside the 6 weeks of internationals, would also allow for players to have a decent break and a full pre-season.'" https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/c14lp35nd8kt?post=asset:d59642dd-4677-47d5-b587-664991070097#post
