I've never seen anyone high on cocaine in person. I've seen the videos where Trump Jr. is visibly high on something and the experts all say cocaine... But don't consider myself an expert on personally picking out who is high or not and on what. Coonte didn't look/sound like what I would have expected someone high on cocaine to be like... But I really don't know. Oh, and I literally just saw a skunk about 10 mins ago coming back from picking my youngest up... It most definitely didn't look drunk. It was just minding its own business crossing the road.
Sort of looks and reminds me of David Byrne's experience with Columbian marching powder. "Cocaine...didn't do anything for me the first couple of times. Then I guess it found its brain receptor cells. Everybody was doing it then. The road crew would deal to the band...probably the only way they made a decent living. Everybody'd yak, yak, yak...to anyone at all...instant friendship for a few minutes. It made me simultaneously very talkative and secretive. Kinda like matter-meets-anti-matter. A problem waiting to happen. Too many late nights (it was usually accompanied by drinking) and spaced out days and soon I decided to stop."
I was thinking. Gotta stop Trump,.so I voted for Harris. Unfortunately, my vote means nothing in South Carolina as it will never been even nearly close in my state so my vote means nothing. I can't explain how Trump won though. It's incomprehensible.
I was wondering why no one has suggested that he has cheated I think he has And I think he has done it to prove cheating is possible If he has cheated he is in a win win
Given the things I see and hear from Yanks I don't find it incomprehensible at all. What I do find amazing is that he was allowed to stand at all, given that he was ready to forcibly regain the White House through any means possible last time, completely flouting the democracy that he'll now be bragging has fully endorsed him. Political rivalry is blind to everything except the colour of its rosettes.
I can think of lots of reasons why Trump won but probably one of the biggest factors was his opponent.
I’ve got no idea how true it was and don’t know enough about American voting system but I saw something that said in the swing states the democrats won all the local type bits but trump won the president vote which is almost an impossible scenario? Some stuff online about the counting machines being hacked and code changed, one way to check would be a manual count but then was something about bomb threats at those polling stations which may have broken any chain of custody to put doubt that the paper votes haven’t bern amended when manually counting. No idea how true or likely it is… always pinch of salt on one especially in this sort of stuff
I am the same and do t know enough about it but I just find it strange that the country seemed so divided and then all of a sudden - the change To me it’s logical that someone who felt the system was rigged for him to lose would look for that As I said the interesting aspect is if it was rigged it actually helps to support his previous claims as I have no dog in the race this will be one to watch from afar Way above my pay grade
He won the popular vote in all 7 swing states and the electoral votes. By comparison, he lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton in 2016 but won the electoral votes. People's individual votes for a candidate go toward the popular vote. The electoral votes are cast by members of the Electoral College. The number of Electors each state has is equal to the number of lawmakers the state has in Congress. The Electoral votes typically coincide with the winner of the popular vote in each state. The winner of the popular vote doesn't always win the election. In its simplest form, candidates who win the votes in the biggest states have the best chance of winning overall.
I am in one of the most Republican states in the Union and honestly, I don't know many Trump supporters, almost everyone I know hates him... But I work with mostly educated people. I will say, I did see Trump yard signs this election, that's something I never saw much of in earlier elections. So shows he probably has more support here than in earlier elections. (Or that his supporters are less embarrassed to admit it) As for cheating, it's possible, but I have no evidence. Now, his first term in office I remember reading stats that in every swing state he got 10 or more % higher votes on computer ballots than he did in locations with paper ballots in the same state. That seemed suspicious... But I haven't seen anything like that this time.
Tbf lots of people who voted Republican don't like Trump. Some will have voted against Harris rather than for him. Some will have voted for the policies, not the person. There are so many contentious issues over there right now, that there are a myriad of reasons to vote for change. Like here. Anyway no more derailing. Apparently the other person in the Coote video is a professional cricketer who's also been suspended.
Well, I won't make this board into a political sideshow again (I'm already on probation, so to speak, from 'the other place'), but yeah, I thought he was going to win, but not take all 7 swing states (including your NC neighbour - I had high hopes there) and the popular vote. Just never thought I'd ever see Trump do that - Nikki Hayley or Desantis would have done it though. US polling is just utterly ****e. Consistently off by over 6% (and was for the other side in the mid-terms). That's it though - no more politics.
Ex-professional cricketer for Nottingham. His anti-Scouse comments are fair enough - that's his opinion (****ing Scab). The Coote aspect is that he doesn't even try to disassociate himself from them, just asks for the video to be kept private. Remember, in law silence infers consent.
Plenty of theories, but I knew he'd win when the very first results were reported on CNN from Indiana and Kentucky, and Harris was 10% below Biden's figures in residential suburbs. These are ruby red states, and there is absolutely no reason for the GOP to fiddle the results in states that the EC will see them walk in, so when the same percentages were shown in swing states I wasn't a bit surprised. But here is the point - Trump has not really improved his vote count (@75m) from 2020, whereas Harris has dropped @7m votes from Biden's 81m. There is the actual story, harsh as it is - that difference just didn't turn up to vote for Harris. (That's deffo it now promise! )
Nah, you'll be back. We all do it - say "I've had enough of this" but when someone kicks the ball down your end you have to boot it back.
