Heretic. At a cinema near you. Best role Hugh Grant has ever played. Admittedly not a very high bar for the fop haired Oompah Loompa but credit where it's due.
Seeing as it was being talked about on here before, i'll put it here. I got informed yesterday that my procedure to have the heart monitor put in is gonna happen on the 29th of this month. I'm surprised it's so quick to be honest, I honestly thought i'd be waiting 'til after Christmas,
Fargo The film is great but I never bothered with the TV series until now , just watched the first 2 seasons and it's really good . 5 seasons but they're all self-contained stories. It's on Amazon Prime
Just finished watching a great sci-fi series (season 1) on Netflix, called ''3 Body Problem'' it's made by the same people who did Game of Thrones, the series is based on a series of books by the Chinese author Liu Cixin. Highly recommended for sci-fi buffs only.
Not a series but a great little interview with a very sprightly 101/year old lady. https://www.gbnews.com/news/video-tessa-dunlop-meets-bletchley-park-veteran
Nice piece. My mother worked at Bletchley Park at the same time. She told my sister and I many years later that she once talked briefly to Churchill in the gardens there, and when he asked her what she was working on,, she responded that she couldn't tell him as it was a secret.
This rather excellent programme has been mentioned a few times. This lovely clip is well worth another look.
“ Shine on you crazy “ diamond is one of the best pieces of music ever, in my opinion obvs… still gives me a shiver up my spine when I hear it and I’ve heard it a million times….. “ Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.” “ Well you wore out your welcome with random precision,” Something I am most definitely guilty of lol
Wish you were here has been taken by many as a song of remembrance, particularly appropriate this past weekend.
I'll be watching that after I've caught up with From season 3.. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9813792/ I don't normally watch series before they finish but couldn't wait any longer for From. In my top 3 still running TV. It's probably number 1 but couldn't be bothered to think about it.
Im up to date with From and don’t normally watch/enjoy horror stuff. It’s from the makers of Lost and I hope they don’t drag it out in the way Lost did. I must say though 3 series in and I’m still enjoying it - I was done with Lost after the second series. It’s more the mystery element that has me hooked:
