It won’t cost £14m, but it will cost a lot less than relegation, and miles less than if we didn’t go back up after relegation.

Russ all the way for me. I still think we have enough to get results, just not the way he sets us up to play.

I don't think Rasmus and Henrik aren't ruthless enough to to sack Russell Martin. Logic would say now is the time to do it with the international break. Russell Martin would think that too but I honestly don't think he will get sacked.

I don't think anything will change until the Rasmus and Henrik go. I have a friend who is a Brentford fan and he reckons Rasmus was nothing more than a chancer that got lucky. I find it hard to disagree. The pair are showing they don't have the talent to run a Premier League club.

Their managerial appointments have been abysmal. They are slow to sack managers and the managers they have hired are consistently bad appointments. They didn't choose Russell Martin. We wouldn't have got promoted if they chose the manager after relegation.

Wasn’t it this international break when we sacked Hassenhuttl? Yes I know it was a long break because of the World Cup but wasn’t it about now?

Yep. I can't remember if Jones was already lined up or not. Don't think he was.

Sacked Ralph on the 7th November. Sky reported we were talking to Jones on the 8th, we hired him on the 10th.

I would be amazed if a new manager saved this team from relegation. He may employ a more effective formation and get more results but in the end it will still be relegation only with more points than we would have got under Martin. The only positive is that Derby get to keep their record.

Ironically as I have wanted Martin out for maybe the longest of anyone on here, I’m actually OK with keeping him now.

I can’t see many managers we want wanting the job now and I think it’s 99% that whoever we get in won’t be in charge next season so may as well just let that person be Martin now

I kind of get your point but I just can't stomach any more of his football. I'd much rather go down playing entertaining, counter attacking football.

I honestly think they’ve decided to stick with him .
Even if , as seems likely , we get relegated. Not saying that’s what I want to happen , but that’s what I think .

I get your point as well, but ultimately results are what count. I don’t recall too many people moaning about the style when we were winning last year. If a new manager comes in and some people’s view that no matter how we play we are going to struggle is correct then I don’t think it will take til the end of the season before fans are unhappy again.

I’m assuming Laces didn’t just randomly pick £14m as the fee for binning Martin and his staff, and it was mentioned earlier that we paid a fortune changing manager 3 times last time we went down, so SR have to factor that in as well

A lot is made of a managers style of play but you are right. It is all down to results. Look at Ralph. People loved the aggressive, high-energy press at the start when we were winning. But toward the end everyone was fed up and some people even said blamed the press for our players throwing away leads due to fatigue.

If you score a last minute winner in an important game, you don't care if its a well worked team move, 30 yard screamer or scrappy tap in.

Really? There were loads of us who found the style boring last year. I certainly moaned about it.

I don’t remember people caring that much about it though. When we dropped points I remember people moaning but not when we were winning

I recall saying we were winning despite his style, and that a different manager would probably have us winning more comfortably but don’t remember many people agreeing with me

Think the £14m was from Alfie House.

As a whole the season was a lot less entertaining than our last Championship season.

I'd like to change my selection but the option I would go with is not there.

Stick with him, he probably won't turn it around but nobody else better will want the job so what's the point in wasting £14M to get rid, it would be better to spend that money on signing a striker while supplementing the transfer by selling Diaz, Sulemana and Armstrong.

Can you add that as an option please and I will change my vote!!
