Good 3 points. We totally dominated the first half, so it was really disappointing to concede such a poor goal on the stroke of half time.

Second half was more even, but we got the goal and managed the game well after that.

I thought Katie Kitching ran the show in the first half. West did well at the back on her debut, Megan Beer played well too, so I was surprised that Tasha Fenton got Player of the Match.

Only 6 points off top now, with the bottom 2 to come. Only 1 point behind the unwashed now. Good chance to be right in the mix by Christmas. HTL

 

Talking about Sunderland lasses, I met old Sunderland lass Steph Houghton tonight at a book signing at Waterstones.

Been a really good month for the Mel & The Lasses. Mind Mel needed it. We were really struggling, but we're right in touch with the leaders now, with bottom club Portsmouth next up in the league.
