Been watching a few clips on Youtube of old comedy sitcoms. So what is your favourite comedy sitcoms ever. Not a list but the one. For me there are quite a few old ones which spring to mind but struggle to think of literally any current ones. Honourable mention to Fools and Horses but top of the list goes to Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister. The writing, the cast everything just came together brilliantly. So many funny clips in every episode never mind series etc. The irony being how true to reality it actually was.
Only Fools and Horses. Used to love Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads too. Currently probably Not Going Out.
‘It ain’t half hot mum’ was my favourite. currently banned due to wokeness as are the Alf Garnett series.
Yes Minister was indeed great. For sheer longevity and also because it had some fabulous comedy acting, my favourite's Dads Army. Honourable mentions to WHTTLL and Porridge. Blackadder was brilliant.
Couldn't settle on one - it would change depending on mood. Worthy mentions: Fawlty Towers, Black Books, Spaced, Green Wing, Chuck (S1-3).
Mordern stuff for me - Brooklyn 99/Community/Archer are great but: It's Always Sunny in Phillidelphia is just so wild and hillariously out there it always makes me laugh while touching on modern taboos/topics so 100% number 1 for me.
Everything's so old school here lol. Only Fools and Horse and Blackadder were great......but clearly one winner here - The Simpsons, obviously not recently, but seasons 2-9 were awesome.
Not seen S in P. Is it on currently? If so, what channel? If not any back episodes being repeated anywhere?
